I defeated Zekvir after 8 tries

So first of all, I need to mention why I’m creating this topic,
I have more and more started playing solo content. This is due to this is where you no longer have to rely on other players to cdo their part which they dont do anyways.
Therefore I can actuaklly set up certain goals and then complete them without wasting time.
Matter of fact is that most of these players are wasting time. Why? Well, it’s really simple;
they queue up for M+ dungeons where they have an illusion that they can complete it when they in reality cant - this makes it so that they do not only waste their own time, but also mine. And therefore I have started to play solo content.

I have seen the same in job interviews for instance. Where people show their examinations and stuff, and on paper - it looks really great. But on the field they do not know what to do, although they said that they have the knowledge. Therefore, they have wasted a spot that someone who actually could do these things; and besides, they wasted everyones time by agreeing to come to a interview that lasts for 30-50 minutes, and then IF they get the spot.
They come to work - but they have no idea what to do - and I’m supposed to pay them for being there? This is not how it works. For instance; I built my stuff up from only 800 EUR driving around in a Peugeot from customer to customer for 2 years. In the same way;
I started from mythic 1 and advanced my way up from there to higher tiers.
And although I dont have time to play the game; whenever I do - it is mostly mythics or raids that I play. And I do really great, however - in a mythic dungeons, it is enough with one player doing a misstake - and you got one less dps or healer. And we see the same things in raids for instance. During 3 weeks where I was off work, I attempted the raid 5 times a day at the last boss - and guess what? People could not get through Phase 1. Now imagine that they maybe did this for 4-5 hours, and I should know - because I had a friend who completely wasted his time in that raid. For no reason.

So I have started playing solo content, such as doing transmog runs or mount runs,
and it is great - although I like the challenge, the only challenge here - is if you dont get that thing which you want - you either must have another character or wait for the next reset.
But visiting some zones I have realized that there are some beautiful visuals in this game,
and although some people like to talk bad about this game, I was stunned by how great zones such as Zereth Mortis looks like, same applies for Zuldazar, Kul’Tiras and Pandaria and many other zones that I have visited during these runs. For instance, I’d like to create a new character just to play through the Zereth Mortis zone. And for once, I can actually enjoy the visuals of the game instead of looking how literal monkeys attempt a m+ run when they cant. And although M+ is fun due to the challenge, it becomes annoying - when you do this kind of content and if there’s literal ONE weak link, your group is doomed to fail, this is not always the case, as I have greatly carried groups before - although getting the key untimed.
So looking at it, the only thing enjoyable in this case, is the challenge itself - but it becomes a bore due to that you have to rely on someone which is not yourself.
For instance - during Zekvir, there was nobody that I needed to rely on; only myself.
This resulted in that I did 8 attempts before I took him down.
I think we need more content like this. And there are ways to make them useful in terms of rewards aswell. Zekvir was easy though, same goes with delves - but this is the kind of content that I’m aiming for as the next season comes out.

Thats nice.

Found something to enjoy yourself in wow with? That’s great! Sometimes we just need a break.

I agree it’s probably best if you play alone

Good for you, though you already did it in December and are obviously just using this as yet another pedestal to attempt to display your self-designated godliness and how bad everyone else is. But it´s good that you´ve discovered solo content so others don´t have to deal with your schtick ingame.

I recommend you try (and beat) the actually challenging version Zek’Vir?? before deeming it all to be so easy, or actually clear a level 11 delve… it´s easy to say that things you haven’t even tried are easy, it´s not so easy to turn around and actually prove it. That said I just noticed I still haven´t done Zek?? either, need to wrap that up before the season ends, so thanks for the reminder.

2/10 trollthread… higher effort than the last one, but still ridiculously mediocre.

More humble bragging and tangential ramblings.

Didn’t Blizzard design it to be bragable with it being Solo and having achievements and mount tied to it… People like to blame the players… Its by design lol.

No it isn’t.
Being proud of something is one thing, but to create a thread that is just bragging and being toxic towards other players (like calling people ‘literal monkeys’) under the guise of ‘giving advice’, is quite another.

This is what I just have done though, that is the difference.

Exactly. As we have seen, we can clearly see that in solo content, you dont need to have other players in your group that slows down any form of achievement or progress. Which we see in raids or M+ runs.

You may say this, but you have no evidence for your claims.

Your achievements say otherwise. But of course that´s not because your´re just trolling. Or why is Delver of the Depths IV (the achievement for completing a T11 with lives remaining) still greyed out and you do not have the “Let me solo him” FoS? Oh, right, it´s because we´re all too stupid to research properly.

For somebody that repeatedly claims to be Ultrahuman and vastly superior to everyone else, even in things they obviously don´t understand the least little thing about, you always seem to have the hardest times immunizing yourself against even the most superficial possible research, that always somehow proves the opposite to be true

Btw, didn´t you repeatedly state that you have 639 gear on your main in other threads? Because for some reason your account is still missing the harbinger of the gilded FoS as well.

No, YOU don´t… Tah on the other hand can simply link to any thread you´ve ever created and let people decide for themselves which of the 2 of you is a pathological liar with a god-complex.

I disagree, simply because If you feel the need to brag about achievements in a videogame that aren´t proof of being legit creme de la creme (=Top 10 world level things), then you likely need to shift your focus to adding substance to your real life and things that actually matter. Ever noticed how the people that actually play at that level generally don´t feel the ned to rub it in your face every chance they get?

Its not updated on that alt http://worldofwarcraft.blizzard.com/en-gb/character/eu/kazzak/vawyen/

Ty, I don´t rememvber the alts of every half-baked troll. :beers:

Still missing the DoTD IV which he claimed (or at least strongly implied) to have after my post, and still not seeing that 639 gear or the HoTG, though I´ll give him the benefit of the doubt and say that was maybe Spud or some other under-the-bridge-dwelling poster.

Speaking of which I truly hope he´s ok and just taking a break /sitting out a ban, the guys we got to replace him as weekend entertainment really can´t cut the mustard… :beers:

If Blizzard didn’t design it to be a halo and time limited… then no1 would be bragging…

Your posting on a forum that glamors over world firsts… lol maybe try a different audience?

Something that only 4% of the player has done… I think that does put it up there lol. More has cleared Mystic raids…

I´m not sure we´re posting in the same forums… WF kills generally tend to pass semi unnoticed here IME.

Yes, it´s not a “bad” feather to have in your cap. But that doesn´t in any way mean it´s not a dick move to turn around and rub it in people´s face… especially when you´ve only gotten it 1 week before the end of the season when there are a bajillion weakauras available that practically play the encounter for you.

Case in point, I could also buy a Mythic carry this afternoon and call myself a CE raider, or buy my way to a .1% title… but that doesn´t make it true, or legit, nor does it make parading it around as proof that everyoene else is trash any less despicable.

Credulon’s post merely reflects Vawek’s topics, and how Vawek himself seems to judge his own capabilities

I already have said multi times its a bad boss lol you need DBM to clear it…

Yeah but you can’t buy solo ?? which is the point… Raid and group content means little as like you said carries or buys.

This is funny though, because according to the information that you state it seems like anyone who talks about bosses, raids, delves, item levels or whatever - seems to be a troll from your point of view. And this creates a significant difference, which is something I have talked about earlier - and it has been proven to be right. Time after time. And although people deny it, it has become a fact.

Also, with those two characters (which are mine) - we can see that both of them have great transmogs. And I thank you for that.

Now if we look from this from a point of view; which is not your ignorant point of view - but actually look at what is being said here. We can break it down;

  1. I have experienced group content, such as; Mythic+ (M+) dungeons and raids but became frustrated with unreliable teammates.
  2. A lot of players overestimate their abilities, leading to wasted time for everyone in the group.
  3. A single player making a mistake can ruin the entire run, making the experience frustrating.
  4. I have seen raid encounters, for instance in Neurbar - where players multiple times and failing at basic mechanics. Not getting through the first phase. And while we are at it; no. It doesn’t help if you change group because that new group will most likely be the same as the earlier group.
  5. I draw a parallel between unreliable players in the game and unqualified job candidates in real life. Why? Because people think they can do something when they actually cant.
  6. People appear competent on paper (for instance in job interviews) often fail to perform when actually tested. Seen this too many times. These people take up opportunities that could have gone to someone truly capable. Same applies to group content in the game.

And in my post, I now express that I actually I enjoy the game by playing solo content.
Although I wish there was something I could do to actually make such content harder,
because this is the MMO that I play - and I wont change it to any other game.

Now, when I dont need to bother about others - and I do quests or whatever,
I expressed how I appreciate the game’s visuals more, because I have rarely payed attention to it earlier. I realized this when I was questing in Zereth Mortis. Great visuals and great ambience, I love this zone.

And yes, it is probably a brag when I talk about that I did solo Zekvir. But the question is why? Because I was not dependent on the skills on somebody else, but had to entiry rely uppon myself to actually take the boss down.
And from this experience, I can just say that I solo content is great but lacks the challenge,
and if you play through earlier expansions - you will just one shot yourself through that content. The only solution to this is to create a new character and play through that storyline with that character.

However, it is important to note that I find group content fun only when the challenge itself is engaging - but not when you have to rely on weak teammates.

In the maybe 10, let it be 20 tries I´ve done over the course of the season, I´ve never used DBM (still have a version from Shadowlands installed just so breaktimers work in raids) or encounter specific weakauras, and have made it to ph 2 in approximately half of them. Enfeebling spittle is a long cast, Reg. Carapace is a long cast, and you can easily see both if you have Zek targeted or focused (which is generally a good idea, since you are trying to kill him, yes?).

The only other important things are to keep yourself topped up with dwarven medicine from Brann (self explanatory and should be reflex from running delves), stay close to Zekki (standard procedure with any mob that has a random frontal), and not move to the web-cocoon too early so as not to inadvertently bait said frontal into yourself.

IMHO If you “need” dbm or WAs to beat any encounter, it´s because you havent memorized the timers /internalized the rhythm of the fight, and are using them as a crutch. This applies to Zek’Vir just as much as any raidboss or M+ scenario.

Do they make the process easier? Yes. But the result is more often than not that you will not know what exactly you were doing and why, because you were just “playing by numbers”, so when another boss comes along 12 monthy later with the exact same mechanic, you´ll still be a deer in the headlights because you didn’t actually learn it the first time around. :beers:

Intentional misconstruction of a statement doesn´t make the misconstruction correct, but according to you everyone else is just an ignoramus anyway, which you probably called me at some point in the long winded rant that followed.

People that incessantly drench themselves in outright and easily disprovable lies, half-baked half truths, self-aggrandizement, and otherwise do nothing but talk down to other people are trolls, period. The topic at hand is wholly irrelevant.

Anyone that takes you seriously needs to seek professional help. This explicitly includes yourself.

Something similar to this can be taken from an experience I had last week,
As I was standing parked on the side of the road because I was picking up some stuff that I had bought. Note that I did not leave the car, but a friend of mine went inside to get the stuff. A parking attendant came up and told me that I cant park there. And although he thought he was right, he was not right. The difference was that I knew the regulations in the area, and he had to eventually leave.

I had just pulled up to the side of the road, idling with my hazard lights on, waiting to load up the few things I had just bought. The engine hummed steadily as I checked my phone, passing the time.

I noticed the parking attendant, marching towards me with his phone or w/e in his hand, his reflective vest practically glowing in self-importance. I already knew as he was walking towards the vehicle what was going to happen.

He tapped on my window. I rolled it down.
“You can’t park here,” he said, puffing his chest out like a traffic warrior.
I gave him a polite nod. “Good thing I’m not parked then.”
He blinked, thrown off for just a second. “You are parked.”
“No,” I countered, gesturing toward the dashboard, “the engine’s running. I’m waiting, not parked.”
His jaw clenched. “You can’t “wait” here either.”

I tilted my head. “According to traffic regulations, parking is when the vehicle is stopped and the driver is absent. I’m here. Engine’s on. That means I’m not parked.”
He opened his mouth, then shut it. I could see his brain working, scrambling for a counterargument. A few awkward seconds passed. Finally, with a grumble, he spun on his heel and stalked away, defeated.

A minute later, my items arrived. I loaded them up, gave a little victorious nod to the retreating attendant, and drove off, still very much not parked.

While doing eggs the camera goes behind boss get 1 shotted DBM fixes that. I could burn down ? without it but not ??

And lets be honest some classes wont be doing it at all. I did clear it with a 605 Ret as he had the tools for everything.
