I can´t remember DBM ever controlling the ingame camera… if that´s actually the case, all the more reason to continue not to use it for me… I stopped using it the first time it told me to “stack” and “spread”, because at that point it´s already starting to solve the puzzle for me.
I disagree, the encounter is class agnostic and things like melee dmg and interrupts /spittle are specifically tuned around the capabilities your spec has access to. There is as far as I can tell (assuming phase 2 doesn´t suddenly differ wildly after the first minute or so) no technical reason whatsoever that it can´t be done on any class bar none. Some such as ret might have it easier as a result of class design, but that doesn´t in any way mean others can’t do it, nor that ret actually has any sort of actual advantage that isn´t mitigated in some other fashion (for ex melee hits smashing in @ close to 4 mil life)
… Being obtuse are we. Without DBM his claw smash is a OHK and while dealing with eggs its hard to see it coming when you can’t see it… When DBM calls it out you move… also the move is bs as the boss can turn 180 with it lol.

Its a OHK with DBM too if you´re not paying attention, and? Do you turn your monitor on while playing? because that wide brown frontal is pretty hard to overlook, and you shouldn´t be far enough away to need more than 2 steps to get out of it. If you´re playing a melee and bum rushed the egg when it spawned, then got clobbered by teh frontal, thats what we refer to as a “learning expereince”… The lesson for anyone overqualified to be a rock being “Wait for the frontal, THEN bum rush the egg”

As I previously stated, I have not beaten him yet, but in roughly half of the the handful of tries I have done I made it to ph 2 in approximately half of them… evenly split between Mage (mildly challenging) demo lock (feels like easymode) and Retadin (BoF, Kick, repeat, kinda boring…). I have zero doubts that I will complete this encounter before wednesday. Without WAs or DBM
So just half way but talk like its easy ok then lol. Maybe beat him and come back? Phase 2 is even more 1 shot kills lol. I cleared this back in Nov or start of Dec…
You do understand, or maybe youve already forgotten, that after about 30 seconds into PH2 you have seen all of the mechanics the fight offers?
After that, it´s merely a question of practice and repetition… I know, WoW players in general can’t spell those words much less understand them, which is why everyone always plays with crutches and then turns around and acts like their Special Olympics “play by numbers” version of the kill makes them something better, which is exactly what you are doing here. “Oh, I just played on teh easiest class and used all the addons I could find, that makes me better than someone who has barely touched it but seen all the mechanics and just couldn´t be arsed to invest the time yet.”
BTW, I never at any point in this thread or any other said it was “easy”, you must be confusing me with the OP. Or possibly even yourself, as you have in fact made such statements in the past while being derogatory towards others for not having completed it yet, even though you´re now sitting here trying to defend it as insurmountably hard for the vast majority of players. Just because it pisses you off that I know I can do it without crutches if I want to, because then the only thing you repeatedly base your claims of skill on is proven to be not as hard as you have pivoted to claiming. “Erhmagherd, muh 4% achievement might become a 5% achievement, stop them all before they expose me!!!”

The high horse you´re sitting on is therefore laughably unwarranted, “Oh, I´m a big deal because I cheesed an achievement that only 4% of players have, so that means I can talk down to other players.”
zelvkir in improved version can be done with 610-615 ilvl, so end of patch with 630 ilvl+ there is nothing impressive
People who can’t do it, don’t understand the boss’s patterns and are just bad, because sorry, but the boss is not hard.
(I tried it 3 times without looking at the strats, with bran in heal lvl 22 (but 638 ilvl in dk uh))
