Hello im lvl 38 but have only 49 gold. Mount+training is 90g how am i supposed to get that amount of gold when my spells cost 1G each Xd.
Dont learn all your spells and go mob grinding
you re not supposed to be able to afford your mounts when you ding 40. simple as that.
edit: what i wanted to say by that is that having a mount and be able to ride it, esp. at 40, is luxury and nothing thats expected or easy aquired.
working as intended

Welcome to the Classic experience, hahaha. In Vanilla, it was quite the rarity to be able to afford your mount at 40… unless you had a lvl 60 that would grind it for you.
Realms are young, otherwise you could pull it of by selling metal bars/herbs.
Just grind away
Run Scarlet Monastery over and over until your eyes bleed and your brain begs for the sweet release of death.
its just a matter of gold management. People thinking youre not supposed to get your mount at 40 are laughable. it was maybe true back in the day when nobody knew anything, but now…I just have skinning which all go to vendors, im sitting at 58g at lvl 36, without including all my greedy spendings ! I have my lvl 40 mount guaranteed. I probably have like 15-16g spared just in spells that I didnt buy. Don’t use AH, try to sell your things in /2 and use some buisness technique to pull off bigger prices.
The most expensive element of the game is spells from your class trainer. Don’t buy abilities if you don’t think you will use them - and don’t upgrade abilities you don’t use.
Loot everything you can and fill your bags. If you return questing to the town hub and your bags aren’t full, you didn’t loot enough. Almost every single item is sellable in WOW, whether it’s on AH or to vendor. Don’t give away free money.
As said above, mount is a privilege and luxury not a right. You have to earn it to get there. But it will feel damn good when you do buy it.
I didn’t get my mount until lvl 60 it’s one of those things.
Back in the day I was in my 50s before I could afford my mount, at the moment I’m level 27 with 12G to my name - hoping to increase this at pace now though. Having Ghost wolf makes me slightly less bothered about it, but seeing all those spells I’m not learning is making me sad.
I know there is no way I’m going to have the money come level 40. I’ve just resigned myself to getting it late.
Eh, I think you’re forgetting that rogues don’t have to buy that many spells compared to a lot of other classes.
I dont care im a warlock
Cross faction mounts? Uwotm8?
Another beggar post?
Quoting this for good advice - but if this starts to bore you, skinning is something that is fast to level and has immediate income.
By not training skills you don’t need. By not buying anything off the auction house. By selling everything you find. By waiting a few levels until the gold for quests and items dramatically increases.
Mentally you can adjust to running about in the first place, gives less stress and anxiety.
Admitted, I had some of the most fun in the open world with my level 10 and 19 Twinks, pre-Cata and before the dreaded sidespan car, so I am used to hoofing it about.
At least that is what I say to myself when I once again struggle to keep a Gold piece to my name at 28
