I don't want my sub money to go towards creating new store mounts

It makes me feel sad and sick knowing that Blizzard uses my hard earned money to create new cashgrabs.

The alabaster mount I believe the 6th store mount this expansion. I feel like a designer is hired at Blizzard to only make new store mounts.

The time and resources that go towards developing store mounts is taken away from the actual content in the game.

Alabaster mounts were added to allow those who couldn’t get the 15th anni CE.

You can use that hard earned money to buy sub and than sacrifice time to farm, buy token for gold and than you have mount for ingame currency

WoooooW… amazing… and you didn’t spent more your hard earned money or killed some rare over 200 times to get RNG drop of shiitty mount…

Wooooow… amazing

Fairly sure the store mounts pay for themselves, it’s actually more likely to be the other way around, store mounts may support the creation of actual content.

Source?

They said from the first moment that this Mount is going to the store, we just weren’t sure what they meant by that.

But why does it have to be mounts, couldn’t it just be toys or something else.

And when buying one it should say: “All of the money you spend on this mount will go towards developing the game”.

Fun fact, the money doesn’t go towards developing the game.

You’re really dreaming thinking that the “design” of existing models cost a lot of time.

I don’t understand why you would put ur energy into getting annoyed over something like this. As if you can pay a designer with ur submoney :joy:

And it should have stayed that way, unobtainable from the store and only from the CE. But they are cash hungry and put it in the in-game store.

That’s neither fun nor a fact. I don’t know where the money from mount sales go but neither do you and that’s the point.

Then why do we only have one look per Leather, Mail, Plate and cloth from raid tiers and PvP?
No class uniques at all…

Because it saves them money.

Am I the only one can’t understand this fuss about some store mount? Like c’moon its an optional cosmetic? If you don’t like the mount, dont want to spend money on it then:
DONT
BUY
IT
?
Unlike some forum posters where it feels like:“Blizz has invaded their home. Taken their family hostage and is forcing you to buy the mount at gunpoint”…
You are NOT forced to buy the mount if you don’t like it. Just walk away from it and problem solved?

They already have enough money from our subs, isn’t that what’s it for? Why do I even have to pay a sub fee if they fill the game with mtxs? To develop the game?

The store mounts are unneccesary and bad for the game.

It doesn’t – as store mounts pay for themselves. I honestly rather have more, and I know nobody will agree with me. But if it means wow can go free2play than good. More transmogs, more mounts, more fun stuff. But than again I can afford it so it’s easy talking for me. Honestly player housing with ingame store would go well, I cannot wait for ingame housing.

No, I won’t be buying the mount, it’s ugly. And even if cool looking I would never buy a store mount.

Why?

Because demand creates supply and I don’t want the game filled with mtx if I’m already paying a sub fee for it…

I would much rather have the store mounts obtainable from in-game easter eggs, raids or PvP. Anything else than real money. Farming gold is just as bad as buying with IRL money, it still creates demand.

No, I’m not poor I would have the money to buy a thousand alabasters if I wanted to, it’s not about that.

Idd and who is creating the demand? Playerbase themselves. If people buys the stuff then Blizzard is supplying them? Blizz is not forcefully chocking us with a in-game store. If nobody used the store, then Blizz wouldn’t bother to maintain it?

That’s debatable, however you could make a thread arguing this because right now, even IF you’re 100% correct and mounts actually are unnecessary and bad for the game, it still doesn’t mean they take away resource from content development.

Why would they make wow f2p if they could get money from both, mtx and sub fee.

We only need one of those two evils in a game. Having both means that WoW will be the most expensive game there is. With the worst amount of cashgrab from any game.

What also could happen they would get hungry for money and make Mtxs give you an advantage in the game. I don’t want to see that happening ever.

The relative cost of making store mounts is neglidgable, so don’t worry, your money doesn’t go towards making them.

The time and resources spent on store mounts dont affect the game content creation. Or at least don’t affect them by much.

The profits from cheap to produce goods might, though.
