The problem is not Blizzard, it’s the players. I hate all of you who buy store mounts.
Blizzard just sees that there are enough of stupid people to buy this stuff and they create more of it.

I just agree with him on this subject. He also has played this game very much and his opinions are pretty valid.

Yes, and therein lies the problem.
People don’t want to show off that they have $25 or whatever. This is the 15th year anniversary, so we want this as a conversation starter. This limited run item that shows off that we’ve been following Warcraft for many, many years, and that we follow it so much that we noticed one of these items and snatched it up, lured by a statue of friggin’ Ragnaros. Newer fans won’t even know what that means.
We want that symbol because it’s a conversation starter. We want this opportunity to reminisce abount the times that we had and to look to the future.
This is supposed to be a limited run collector’s item. By denying it that status, by selling infinite amounts of them at the store, Blizzard insult the very thing this mount is supposed to represent.
And not only do they do that - they sell it to people BEFORE the people who actually bought the collection get it! So now, for the loyalty, we get the privilege of getting the mount later than everybody else. This is no way to treat a fan.
