I don’t want a batching bug being part of my main rotation, i’m sorry but looking at a swing timer and waiting for the right half a second to change seal is not engaging or valid emergent gameplay and it’s clunky at best. stop listening to 1% of paladin gatekeepers and remove seal twisting from the game.
Hello Jetsetradioo,
I understand your perspective, but I must respectfully disagree. Personally, I find seal twisting to be an engaging and unique mechanic that adds depth to the gameplay. After discussing it with several individuals, it seems I’m not alone in enjoying this aspect of the game.
While I understand your concerns, it’s important to note that the class can be played perfectly well without seal twisting if some players do not appreciate that particular rotation.
Thank you for your understanding.
preach, remove seal twisting

As a French speaker, it is complicated for me to speak English, so yes, I use the tools at my disposal to translate
I thought people were saying Seal twisting were not in the game in the first place? And with CS on a 4 second cooldown it would be incredibly hard to do anyways.
crusader strike just got nerfed to 6 seconds and martyrdom got changed so there is a big chance that esfand dude is bugging them to make it happen
Ah, indeed, there have been adjustments to the effectiveness of Crusader Strike and changes to Martyrdom as well. Honestly, I think it’s a great move. From my perspective, and it seems like Esfand and his community feel the same way, these changes bring a gameplay reminiscent of TBC, especially with a more refined Seal Twist rotation
nobody asked you, stay quiet go watch those losers.
Afterwards, it is entirely possible to play without Seal Twist. If, instead of the Martyr’s Seal Rune, you choose Divine Storm and Crusader Strike, I don’t see where it’s problematic.
Seal twisting is not a mechanic, period.
it’s a mistake and a nuisance
While i simply do not care about seal twisting since i wont touch a paladin.
By making a post on the official forum you are inviting everyone to come with their opinion.
You are looking for a echo chamber, so you just need to create a private discord with pre screened individuals so you can all screetch at blizzard without the nuisance of opposing opinions.
On the topic of Seal twisting. Maybe that could become a rune for those that want it? Let’s say it would be a Leg Rune. Meaning you would get the choice between Twisting and Exorcism.
I understood the reasoning behind keeping seal twisting in TBC since they were hammering the #nochanges and nostalgia vibe pretty hard to stay faithful to the original feel of vanilla, but how does it make sense to keep a forced bug in a version of the game that’s clearly trying to break away from the old and move towards a new direction?
This only caters to a very small minority of players and doesn’t lead to intuitive game play which is a fact not an opinion, since it was never even designed to be used in this clunky way since it is and always will be a bug. I wish people would be more honest here, it just doesn’t feel good even if it does increase your damage output. By this logic we might as well start petitioning for something similar to clam weaving while we are at it.
Sure there is room for subjective opinion, there always is. I just find it strange that this topic generates so much noise when it’s clearly the minority who wants to retain this literal flaw in paladin game play.
paladins assemble #notwisting
Twisting is fun, you probably just never bothered to put any time into it.
Its no different to glancing at your energy bar for energy ticks, it becomes second nature after a while.
I have talked to a lot of Ret mains about it, pretty much all of them miss twisting.
100% if you poll any Ret discord, you will get overwhelming support for the mechanic.
Just remove paladins.
I dont want seal twisting. It’s not a fun mechanic to play with and consumes too much GCDs.
Yeah, seal twisting was the biggest topic for ret pallies throughout TBC. It doesn’t matter if it was a bug or unintentional, it was unique and alot of ret main loved that about TBC, including me.
The people that want to “take away” seal twisting are just being overly dramatic, we don’t have confirmation that it will be in yet or even viable to do. Why not make it an option, what’s wrong with that? Don’t wanna seal twist, great, grab divine storm and have fun. Want to seal twist, thats good, grab SoM.
People are just mad for no apparent reason.
