“will”? I did like 8 of them and I already hate the content. Why would I even go there at first place? Doing it solo is hilariously slow and pita. Doing it in group? Well, then do m+ instead? Its great for ppl, who dont care about getting good gear and hate other ppl. But then why paying the insane amount of money to play a mmorpg instead of many arpg games with better gameplay, combat, economy, graphics, performance and no time gating?
i think there is huge missunderstanding with the whole endcontent anyway.
many single player games provide like 30-60h entertainment, than you dont touch them.
wow is mmo, sure, but you play through the story line, you do some delves, some M+ and raids and you have seen it. you can also go pvp a bit. but every game reaches its hours until it gets stale till the next patch comes.
ppl seem to expect to buy the latest expansion and to be entertained for 5-10h per day for 4-5 months straight.
it is just not possible.
play it, enjoy it, when it gets stale… have a break… pick some leaves up outside and press them in a book. beat your loved once with a belt. and than… when you feel it again, come back and be excited.
I think anything becomes stale if you repeat it enough times, and there’s always groups that like some content but not other content, or doomsayers forecasting the end of this and that.
I like delves, but I’d like them to be more mechanically challenging (not just more mob HP and damage). Tier 8’s are too easy, but tiers 9-11 are too slow whilst offering nothing additional.
Last night I got my thirteenth class (Havoc DH) to level 80. It’s my least favourite class, and the one I play the worst with least familiarity. After opening an anniversary chest, getting two chests from the theatre and awakening the machine, and buying what I could afford with resonance crystals, I went straight into a couple of solo tier 8 delves. They were faceroll easy, which shouldn’t be the case with a new alt, given the rewards.
I’d like to see rewards staggered to delve tier 11, but mobs with less HP to keep the time reasonable, whilst pushing players with more mobs with deadlier attacks that need to kicked, dodged or otherwise avoided (but not more DPS).
Given that gearing is harder now and i have to play my main more. Delves are the only way to gear up my alts. So, i do them for the vault.
If the new patch adds 3 or 4. That is fine. That is the most i’d do in a week.
No, but you see, we were being forced to do the world quests to keep up.
AP was awful. I don’t want to be forced to do WQ’s on multiple characters and even multiple specs so i can play the content i want to play. It’s insane to me that anyone enjoyed that. It was the worst thing ever in this game. If they bring it back it’s immediate unsub. Never again.
Definitely, but the problem with the delves is that they do not go far enough in gear progression. They were introduced as a new pillar but it is not a pillar that reaches the ceiling.
I agree on that it wasnt perfect, but atleast gave a reason to do wqs. Give reason to log in.
These days mostly u can do is do your weekly vault in 1-2 days and see you next week.
What the game is missing is a linear power progression (except first 1-2 weeks after new season starts, while u can get better base i lvl gear from m+).
It not even high end M.
It is the vault reward from for doing high end M.
So it is only Raid.
Personally I am fine with Delves this time. It is neat to be able to go up to Normal raid gear without being involved with the scheduling that group content that needs some brain cells involves.
But I can see why it is a confusing to call delves a pillar when the role of a functional pillar is to support the ceiling and not being a decoration that stops halfway up.
So IMHO the Delves are a QoL addition and not a new Pillar
There is reason to do them, if you want to do them. You just aren’t forced to do them.
They give gold and rep and unlock all kinds of cosmetic rewards and even some power rewards such as crests and gear at the start.
If you do professions, you got plenty to do as well.
You can progress alts as well.
Do you even have a full set of mythic gear yet? I don’t want to play the game more. I have 2 raid evenings and 3 m+ evenings on top of profession chores. I don’t want more WoW.
Been away and come back less than a week - I tend to agree. I also feel that there are too many annoying traps around the bosses that tend to get your character stuck, likes rocks or pillars etc. and this sometimes makes it impossible to avoid any boss mechanics. Almost feels as though you being setup for a fail. Not to mention the strategic placement of those little gems that are meant to level Bran. In the Sinkhole delve it is placed right on the edge of the ledge and right next to one of those bombing circles and of course a pebble is obstructing your path. Try to maneuver around it and you bound to fall off the ledge and lose a life. These type of annoyances is what actually makes the experience feel like it is rubbish.
You arent forced to do wqs if you dont want to in legion and bfa too. U had alternative resources to get ap or azerite. Crests and gear from wq are wortless after 1-2 days.
I dont play alts since i dont have time for that.
I dont have full mythic gear yet, since im not raiding mythic (no time for that, also group loot sucks) and rng slot machine sofar only give me 3 mythic. Since there is no linear power progression, only can do is waiting for the weekly slot machine.
But you did. Because they were better sources of it and you HAD to upgrade your artifact for the raid cause you wanted the benefit of increased damage.
Yeah, if you don’t have time for alts, why are you asking for more to do? Sounds like you are in a good spot.
I do agree with you over the loot progression we got atm. It sucks. I just had 2 mythic slots on the vault and got 2 useless rings and that is another week wasted. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
That is what isn’t fun.
Not as long as you can get items from there.
Delves are literally solo dungeons with a few extra steps, so I don’t see a problem with them at all.
I very much enjoy the rewards I get from delves, when I do get them.
