Move on.
Even if you had listed it on the AH for the cost of your mount, people probably can’t afford it yet. The economy is fresh, and even silver has value still.

So for the item to sell, you’d have to list it for peanuts.

Edit: It could perhaps be argued that you could have saved it and eventually used it to fund your epic riding a ways down the road, but that’s pure speculation and include a buch of “what if’s”
