Then my and your definition of ‘trivial’ is drastically different.
So?
So, then there’s no need to limit it even more. Right?
If that’s actually healthy.
That’s insulting. ‘able to actually play the game’.
As if THAT content is ‘the only part of the game that’s actually THE game’.
Please don’t be so narrowminded.
Good ol’ is not good. It’s bad. The old game was elitist and bad.
Yeah, I said it.
Didnt they had something similar in wotlk…possibly earlier but my memory is bad . where crafting mats used to drop from raid trash and bosses. People seemed content back then as well.
In most RPG gear has a link with hard content, that is fact. So yes, WQ freebies giving Heroic loot lead to the rise of elitism because people assumed at first that anyone with a given ilvl already cleared the raid (spoiler :no) so they no longer could rely on ilvl to pcik players.
I kinda miss times in which players would just actually… Play rather than focusing on ilvl they’re never going to get…
Sure, but that sounds quite different than what you said before. I’m fine with this wording.
Have to say though: Boosting has taken the throne in that regard (with the gear - skill relation).
I’m not even that focussed on ilvl. I’m focussed on progression.
I like to feel like I’m progressing by doing the things I do. But that progression was severely limited in Shadowlands. I’m hoping things will be different in DF.
But… This topic is about crafting…
All I would like to see in this overhaul of professions is a way for the crafter themselves (so not other people - not people who put in crafting orders) to at least be able to make SOME BiS gear after all the work put into the profession without the need for ‘big 3’ high end reagents.
It doesn’t need to be a full set. 1, 2 or 3 items will be enough, I believe. Just an extra perk for the crafter who went to all the trouble and expenses and time to become ‘good at it’.
the only reason people need gear that is that strong is to be able to complete the higher level content, if you are not in mythic raid then you dont need mythic raid gear. i dont see this being a problem, its not like its absolutely neccecsary for someone doing world content to be in full mythic raid level gear,
i really dont understand why people feel entitled to things that they have no intent on actually earning through playing the game, mythic quality loot only being available through playing mythic content make perfect sense.
It depends, I havent really read into it much, so my knowledge about the new crafting system is not great, but if the crafted gear in the end, ends up being the same high ilvl then mythic raid gear for example, then you really shouldnt be able to get those materials by just mining or something,
it should be equally hard to get the mats to be able to craft the same ilvl item that drops from raids or higher keys/high rating.
