Oh my god, it’s so good, I’m gonna cry at the unironic beauty of it.
I played Genshin Impact. It’s a new crossplatform game, including mobile. The game is completely cross (at least between PC and mobile). On both platforms, the same game, plays in a way that is appropriate for the platform. On a phone it plays like a phone action game, on PC it plays like a PC adventure game. The only things they change between the two platforms is the controls.
It is beautiful. I can do all the boring daily grind while on the toilet, while working or any time I am away from my PC. Then when I get to the PC, all I have left is the interesting things to do - run dungeons, do quests, explore the world and reap the rewards from my mobile achievements. It is in fact great. I don’t have to play on my phone, but I can. And that’s the best part.
With PoE coming to a phone, now this, I think this type of crossplay will become standard for games and I wouldn’t be surprised if some years from now WoW does something similar. Obviously you don’t want people raiding from their phones, so m+, dungeons and bgs can be potentially disabled. But why not let us do our emissaries and dailies from a phone? Then when you get to the PC, all you have to do is have fun.
He has seen the future, everyone kneel to the green Jesus.

As someone who plays Hearthstone on Phone and PC, yeah, it’s the future.

I am really rather salty I can’t send my adventurers to do WQs for me.
It looks okay but no mounts?
Deleted it after 30 mins install. No thx.
Isn’t it just going to be the maps? and probably a gimped version too.
I’m not against PC and mobile compatibility, i’ll definitely use the WoW mobile app for SL, but I still think we’re a good few years off anything significant, and even further off from PC games being worked into mobile cross play.
Mobile to PC cross play though could be in full works fairly soonish.
Well you have customizable gliders, but there seems to be very few skins right now

If that happends, then i definitely see even the most populated realms, (yeah that includes Argent Dawn, Silvermoon, Draenor etc) shatter to the brink of of being a total ghost town. Having a realm pop daily equal to a dead server.
Mobile to PC is already very strong. Lineage 2 Mobile was shipped on phones with 4k 60fps support, and the reason is that you can download the same client and run it on PC. Raid Shadow Legends, as much of a garbage game that is, also came out on PC. Granblue Fantasy is also on PC, although it barely works. And everything else you can play through Bluestacks and it works pretty well tbh.
What’s impressive about Genshin Impact is that it is a legitimate open world game, with big maps, good drawing distances. But it is mostly a single-player game.
I want pet battle mobile app first

If WoW would have stayed on GeForce Now it would be possible to play WoW on a phone too
Although the controls could be questionable.
I would actually like a mini WoW on mobile. I spend more time on my phone than my PC.

Whatever happened to Diablo on mobile or did I just totally miss that.
I also wouldnt mind a pop up saying “get extra daily quest pack for 1.99€” or "get extra table quest for .99"

the “Triple A” industry already takes their horrible ideas from mobile so I wouldn’t be surprised. But I’d hope it wouldn’t happen.

It’s going to come out soon and I’m going to play it.
Or how about loot gacha. For $1 you can pull to get one weapon of random rarity, for $10 you get 10 weapons, one EPIC GUARANTEED!
EDIT: Also, unironically, I quit Guild Wars 2 when I saw I have to buy quests. I really don’t care how the system works or even if it is “f2p friendly”. You make me buy quests, I’m quitting your game.
You guys have phones, right?
I would rather have no boring chores in game than do them on mobile
