seriously, current nick jr fairytale type of storytelling is terribly underwhelming, Like blizzard completely forgot that this game usually has people who are 20-40 years old.
Current storytelling seems like they tried to make us ashmed of playing game for kids, literally, because disney channel has more explicit content than df storytelling.

it can be “woke” yet still have entertaining lore and content, disney channel is example, even disney has more explicit content than wow and is still “woke”
lol is also woke yet lore is entertaining enough that people care to watch it’s series, which is very helpful for game’s hype and raising population these days

Or Star Trek Discovery. First series I watched that has a transgender character, a homosexual couple and a black female as main cast. No episode I watched during S1 and S2 were boring. Sadly not on Netflix anymore. Rights got sold away or licenses did run out.
Depending on what your or anyones definition of “woke” is. For me something is “woke” when it’s this squeaky clean “try not to offend anyone” approach, I bet 90% of the characters in DF aren’t actually non-binary or whatever.

Yes, but being “woke” doesn’t necessitate it being crap. Only difference, when something is progressive and/or has minority represenation AND it’s good, it’s not called woke. See: Avatar: The Last Airbender, classic Disney, Zelda games, etc.
