I hope gearscore comes back in WOTLK classic

Everybody knows that the only way to really start groups is to invite players with such experience and gear that they have no reason at all to acually join your crappy group to carry you.

It goes both ways, if I join a raid/dungeon with absurdly high gear(score) requirement, I can assume all other members (with a possible exception of the organizer) will be at my gear and experience level, thus making the run fast and smooth. After first month of Wrath this will mainly concern daily HC and 10man emblem runs. There’s a reason kara badge runs with t6 requirement and inspect at adal fill out much faster than SR gearing runs. As a T6 mage, guess which one I’d rather join?

It all depends on how people play the game, in the end.

Ive never had to match my high end gear with PUGs, simply because I dont do PUGs with my Main. That one is reserved for Guilds and Friends etc.
Should I for some reason have to do a Dungeon with it, I dont mind carrying some people in a run thats 10 min longer than what it could have been. After all, Ive been carried by some people every now and then on my Alts, so Im returning the favour.

But then again, Im not playing WoW as a race to see how little I can play nore do I often bother doing PUGs over waiting for friends.

Ive unfortunatly been in PUGs with gear levels to the moon but brains in the gutter, gearscore/inspects atleast helps you with 50% of that lottery ^^

What I ment was that there’s a sweet spot between Greens and BiS, where some people expect you to have the current contents BiS while seeking groups for the very content that drops that gear. If they had it, they wouldn’t be joining your group. Doesn’t mean naked people should join ^^

People like you is exactly why I do NOT want RDF. Because i don’t want to be grouped with horrible people like you.

See, and I don’t care one bit if I group up with you or not, as long as you can shut up and press W and whatever your AoE button is

Because, as a random mage with tons of random mages around, you think you’ll actually have a choice to decline groups lol.

You’ll be begging for a spot, no matter who makes the group

I have friends, I can play and I’m nice. I can get a group whenever I god damn want.

So, since you have your best internet friends forever to play with, why do you care if others could use RDF to play?

Also finding a group for the daily hc was quite easy back in the day. All you had to do as dps was to start inviting.

Since there is no RDF and apparently people are really wanting to play with alts, there will be people running them.

Because not everyone is playing 24/7. Sometimes we need 1 or 2 ekstra to supplement. If there is a RDF, those people are not available, wich mean we will also have to join RDF to group whether we want to or not.

Gearscore was actually terrible

Nobody is denying it. However if I remember correctly, 3.3 was the patch where average ilvl was shown and people started using that instead of GS.

I dont really care about GS …

I am hoping blizz will keep up with their nonsense, and introduce those mini-mythics for hc dungeons …

Then someone will come up with some absolute trash like rio and we will all enjoy the beautiful clown fiesta and cheer for blizz how they kill classic …

Rio was perfect display of community made horrors beyond our comprehension and I am seriously surprised there isnt some similar absolutely trash garbage like this already done for tbc …

Yes, I’m with you on that one!

I think you can read but can you actually understand what you read? His point has nothing about him being toxic but well tourists really love their journey to 80 then stop playing and due to your lack of against modernisation that ALREADY in the game people will suffer. I won’t tho but for you I wish you best of luck when going to Tanaris and doing CoS.

Gearscore is the least of the problem.

HR on gear, melee dps not geting invites…I am looking forward to that.

My Paladin with its sweet sweet tanking offspec will filter out every possible melee / attack power / agility / strength user.

Thats not his point

His point is that if he cant have what he wants he will be toxic so we all “regret” that what we have done (even though no one of us can in anyway make the RDF appear out of no where)

I think this behaviour is called throwing a tamper tantrum. Usually people grow out of it around the age of 5.

Almost, but not quiet. It is not my intention to cause any single player to “regret” anything. As you said yourself, players are not to blame here. I want Blizzard to be swamped with an outcry about how intolerable 5man experience in their Wrath Classic is.
I have spent a year, no in fact 3 years forming groups, explaining strategies, calming people down after wipes, replacing people, begging tanks to come join us. All that time waiting for RDF to finally breath free, to have this awful work be taken over by a machine.
Well no more. Like you said, if after 3 years I can’t have what I want, I am not making a shred of effort to make the runs palpable anymore.

I know I will have no impact on anything other than ending up on a couple dozen ignore lists, but I just don’t care anymore. All enthusiasm I had for Wrath is gone, and I am slightly disgusted at the thought of giving any quarter, providing any comfort to a random group member who might have cheered the removal of RDF. At this point I am looking for an excuse to quit this clown fiesta for good. I waited for 10 years+ to play Wrath again, and I don’t even want to anymore. RDF was the one thing I looked forward to the most, together maybe with raiding Ulduar one more time.

Yeah, the adult thing to do would have been to unsub the moment they announced no RDF, but I am too weak for that kind of grown up behaviour, so I linger on, expressing my disgust on this pointless forum while raid-logging with my guild.
