I knew classic is dying but I expect Retail to be more popular then classic

Both GS and GDKP can GDIAF. Both are utterly toxic, rotten creations that in a sane world would have been banished to the ‘terrible ideas’ category of the scrapheap along with ashtrays on motorcycles and DIY Open Heart Surgery for Beginners.

As for the people saying that GDKP were a big part of original WotLK, maybe they played on a very specific server that made heavy use to it? I dunno, as I’d personally never even heard of GDKP until Classic launched. I never once heard anyone advertise it, or even mention it on my old server.

Most people either used Loot Council or the old DKP, I’d certainly never heard of many people paying to get run through a raid for a specific drop.

Them p servers…

Wrath x2 times more popular than vanila classic or TBC classic ever be, numbers
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J21kx1mMA9g (asmon clip)

And yes, classic, specialy wrath, more popular than retail, and thats literally okay, because to play retail, you need to buy game with cost decent

Even on pserv, i remember back in 2010-2012 there was like 80% of servers on Wotlk and only 20% on Vanilla/TBC.

Everything is repeating here on official, and there is still people to answer “Pserv doesn’t count, your experience means nothing”

I am not the part of that.
I don’t use “gearscore” as an argument
I don’t form or partake in GDKPs
However, I expect people to put effort for me and 23 other raiders.

First I was against GDKP but I have left a guild recently that used LC and the GM gave all the BiS gear to the people in the inner circle, I wasted 5 lockouts.
Then I found a good GDKP team and joined as pumper.
I raid 3 times a week with my 3 chars earning a ridiculous amount of gold and since I join with 3 characters I can also buy anything I want by pumping back the gold in the raid.
We clear Naxx/EoE/OBS world tour in 2 hours and the leader always has buyers ready and the raid always starts on time.
So if you have many geared chars then GDKP is the way to go imo.
I pump really hard with 99 logs on all bosses so I deserve to get the loot I want.

Eh would be better if GearScore wasn’t just glorified iLvl. Swapped between 3 gear pieces all with same item level but different stat distribution and it didn’t even budge despite items being strictly upgrades to previous one

Same with you lol. You post a comment, receiving one and leave again.

I don’t think I ever rant.

Classic is dying because that would be the Classic experience. It’s leading to the point when it became retail - albeit earlier than before - it’s not the opportunity to right what some see as wrongs in the game. I had no expectations that Classic would continue forever.

I expect Retail to continue as a game. Classic is scheduled to either stop, or become another version of Retail. And no version of retail would be good imo.

Yeah that’s never happened, ever lol.

I just want to return to TBC. To me personally WoTLK is a raidlog experience.
Professions maxed fast, dungeons not relevant and other personal aspects like atmosphere and, yes, nostalgia makes TBC a better experience for me.
Yes I quit wrath because there was little for me to do - leveling up an alt was nice tho - and I didn’t just wanna raidlog.

Now I’m collecting mounts and transmog in DF.

Yeah Dalaran being unplayable due to so many people being there indicates how classic is dying. Quite an energetic and chaotic death then.

Wasn’t retail more popular than Classic always? Even in the glorious 2020 or glorious 2022, I always thought retail is few times bigger. And it’s ok, Classic isn’t a game for everyone. They’re both good games “in a sense”.

I garentee classic is now going into the dark age

Retail is more popular because of heavy development in it while classic gets neglected for right reason. but classic did a good thing by splitting toxic players from retail. thus the difference is that retail is now wholesome then classic

Hey nothing wrong with that. I know some who post what they think then don’t ever read replies, they just wanted their opinion put out there.

I actually reckon it’s because the genre of MMORPGs/RPGs is fading out because of the players who play them who shouldn’t be - or I should say, companies who bend to the whims of their players every creature comfort almost. All the huge notable games in history were solely created by developers without any interest in the wants of their customers; they just made a game, put it out there, and players either played it or they didn’t. They all were so focused on the game itself, not trying to appease too many, which is one of the problems now.

I don’t think retail or classic have toxic players, by what toxic actually that is.

classic toxicity has gone worst.

Classic is dying? Man did you pick the wrong realm - we have like 3 full seconds lag in Dal during peak, it’s a fricking hive - outside is fine luckily. I’m actually thinking about moving to a medium realm, just wish the service wasn’t so overpriced…

Agree, never see a toxic community like that, even on Warmane.
