You cant lose, if you have a monk and they dont. Its beyond pathetic this has no attention whatsoever. We are paying customers as well, so give us 2 lines of code.

What about flag put a debuff that you cant move faster than your run speed?
Something like judge ment of justice back in tbc where disable sprint, dash and any move buffs.

I dont think the run speed is that of an issue, but the teleporting is just beyond stupid. You can slow or cc fc, but what can you do, when it just ports up and down.

Are we specifically going for Monk Port, or are we including repeated knockbacks off-roof / mind-controlled off roof / leap of Faith to roof / showdowstep to roof / racial ports… all causing players to ‘run up&down’

Well, I’m just insulted over the warlock nerfs that haven’t been reverted yet.

Seeing as how monks can teleport multiple times, fly across the map entierly faster than any mount and be immune to curses so I can’t slow them is bonkers.

Then there’s other classes who can go faster with the flag or orbs. They can leap twice, levitate fast, run fast etc…

Yet here I am where my HP deleting burning rush spell DOESN’T WORK when I hold a flag or orb. I CAN’T use demonic gateways with my flag or orb and my teleport has a real long cooldown. It’s the only useful thing I have if I happend to predict I’d have the flag by chance and needed to teleport across the river in the towers CTF BG.

All mobility abilities need to be disabled when carrying the flag. The team should defend the carrier. You shouldn’t be able to just warp from one flagroom to the other.

Remove all mobility when you have the flag.

Mw port isnt special by any means at all.
Classes that DONT have options to FC and outplay with mobility are the exception, not the rule.
If you want be fair and argue for all mobility being disabled on FCs then sure, nobody is gonna like that tho.

Chi torpedo resets are crazy for sure tho.

One thing in a long list of things that can be used to outplay using height specifically in flag rooms. Sure its one of the weaker options but its relevant and pointing out one thing negates nothing about the point.

  • Disengage can be used by a flag carrier to bait people into jumping down.
  • Disengage can also be used by a hunter chasing a flag carrier. Monk/lock/whatever jumps down, you jump after him, they port too early you disengage back up to the platform. Do it all the time.

that disengage trick has a time window of 1 second, during which it is obvious whether it will happen or not. After that, you know the hunter can’t return to heights again.

Static teleports are on another level

I am not playing RBG or Blitz currently, but I can’t imagine Hunters being a solid option for Flag Carrier… :smiley: Am I wrong?

No way you compare these to flying, jumping, spinning, and crossing the map in 2 sec thing.

Trust me, no DPS not to mention tanks do the FC anymore. (At least in my MMR bracket 2.3-2.5)

It is only the healers who does that because they became “immortal” at this point.

They were comparing them to a Monk jumping off roof & porting back up, which a number of specs can mimic the effect of, in different ways. A keen eye could tell by the quote they started the post with, which was OPs primary concern with Monks, not their mobility…
