I wouldn’t.
Now, if torghast didn’t take so long then I would’ve probably have disliked it less, but for the time it took to do no amount of gear would’ve made it worth it.
I wouldn’t.

Well Delvs are also forced upon us as it gave us 616 vault loot first week.
Your arguement is invalid.
We were able to zekvir to just fill the vault but now they removed it so we are forced to do them, the only difference is the fun factor. Which Choregast actually wins as you could become really powerful at the end.
The powerlevel of having one (1) piece of 616 gear the first week of the expac was at tops a 5% throughput difference that would make a negligible dent in the progress of a mythic+ key or raid, and it is made redundant after the first week.
Legendaries in shadowlands was another thing entirely, choosing the wrong legendaries could mean something like a 50% throughput difference, and if Blizzard shuffled the numbers around mid season, back to Torghast, wanted to reroll? Back to Torghast. New character? Back to Torghast. Wanted to try a different build? Back to Torghast. These two things are not in the same universe of comparison.
I consider myself a big Torghast enjoyer, to the point that it being mandatory didnt matter to me at all, since i wouldve done it even if it rewarded nothing at all.
That being said, Delves are in no way mandatory, all they give is gear and that one week where people could get a hero piece when you couldnt from raid or Dungeons changes nothing about that.
I think Delves, albeit having great potential, have currently grown extremely dull and thus i dont do them, and i dont lose anything from it. Hardly mandatory is it?
No delvs are mandatory, as they gave player power.
They are as mandatory as m+ and raid.
The only big difference between torghast and delvs is that torghast ONLY gave you 1 piece (crafting legendary) of gear, while delvs actually can give up to 3 choices of gear (vault) and gives champion gear which is on the level of normal raid loot. (With bounty you can get even hero gear which is heroic raid ilvl)
And keep in mind, torghast only gave enough for 1 piece of gear, and you only needed to do torghast once a week for the weekly currency. While Delvs you need to fill upp your vault for maximum reward.
So both were if anything equally mandatory.
That’s the problem of humans. They tend to forget bad aspects, bad memories and remember only good stuff that will become a nostalgia soon. In a few years people will start saying WoD, BfA, and SL were the best expansions
Torghast was fun only on beta, and after rework it never was that good. I hated torghast back then mostly because it was a mandatory to acquire legendary.
If they are as mandatory as you say, please explain to me how i am not doing any and im completely fine?
Sorry but Delves are better than Torghast BY FAR. lol
nope, Delves themselves can drop hero gear as well on T8+ bountiful.
I’ve looted a hero cloak from one of the chests.
Thats either a bug or you had a bounty.
I haven’t seen a single map yet on keento
Rngesus be damned. Still doesnt change my point though, Delves Arent mandatory because there is several other ways to acquire said gear. The currencies for Legendaries only had 1 source and that was Torghast.
I agree with that
They aren’t mandatory at all, as you can get gear from so many other sources.
But if you want to gear up you will need to do one of the pillars to get gear.
I mean saying delves aren’t mandatory is a little dishonest guys… Yeah you technically can do without them… If your willing to gear up allot slower that is.
But for every new char gearing up. Delves are the fastest way to get 600+ ilvl gear. You can choose to gimp your self and not do them and spend way more time going mythics only. Sure
I miss thorghast too. Delves are just not challenging enough when you play in a group. And takes too long to do when you play it solo.
A delve takes 10-15mins tops to clear.
Nahh dude. Maybe for you as a tank. It aint for me. Killing the groups and everything is a boring up hill slog that takes forever. It is just not fun
You’re telling me a DPS kills mobs slower than a Prot Warrior?
Killing them is a stretch. the times ive tried I am really squishy and yeah it takes way longer than 10-15 minutes. I spend half an hour 40 minutes if i do it solo. And its just not fun to do alone. Its boring.
It was the same in thorghast for that matter back then as well. Tanks could solo the whole dungeon while some classes struggled.
I sometimes let my friend tank it for me where we just go us 2. a delve takes 30-40 minutes to do, and their just not that fun and cool.
But i have to do them when i gear up a new character because they reward faster and better gear than low mythic+
Waiting for a SL classic to leap into original scary maw and unnerfed torghast, ohh shhi pleas blizz
it depends by the delve. an underwater one could take 20\30 mins as a melee (IMHO). as ranged a shadow one or a torch\oxygen one is more direct and10\15 mins is doable (always talkin about lvl 8)
