Thats a bad thing for me. I like to feel that i have “Completed” a character as best i can. Usually i will just continue to push with that character and also start an alt.
I hate the feeling that i always have to do more and i am never finished…
Hi Alissana.
Boosters are not the ones who are responsible for every bad thing in your life.
They are not the reason, they are the result. The very result of the WoW community’s actions. Please stop finger-pointing and accept the results of your actions.
If you are not happy with the results of your actions, change them.
But you know what, everyone wants a change, but no one wants to change their own actions and habits.
This is why I played classic hardcore for a few weeks, it was made for pure fun and not rush and push mentality.
But classic hardcore becomes less and less fun now anyway since it’s all about interaction and players likes the idea of they have to be careful but most gives up when they die because it’s not fun to start over from level 1 when you have put in tons of effort into a character just to die by a stupid mistake.
Which is fun for the people that enjoy that playstyle. Pure fun!
An unfortunate result of the devs prioritizing end-game.
what if people find this chase for score and gear fun ?
i find m+ very fun when dungeons are good - i played much more m+ in SL when dungeons were better - now i play for like 2 months then i just take a break
its fun too for example new season of goblinslayer is out and few more good animes
wwe binged fall of house usher too last night
when wow is garbage like DF just do other stuff
Yes for a while, but sooner or later it becomes like a second job because of all the work you have to put in.
Eventually it becomes less fun when you are starting to feel exhausted by it.
In case I gave that impression, that wasn’t my intention. I think what people find fun and motivating is quite diverse, and I get that what the emphasis is on these days, is extremely fun for a portion of the playerbase
Something has shifted over time but it affects this group far less or not at all. And those it does affect either quit, play Classic, moved to another game or play WoW in their own way.
I still have a lot of fun. And I’m happy for others who do too. That’s the point after all
If it becomes less fun, you just take a break from it for a while.
When I get tired of rush and push on my main, I play an alt to chill out for a while. Within a day or two, I’m ready to rush and push on the alt.
I don’t tire of trying to do whatever I’m doing better than I did it yesterday.
(The only thing that seems like a second job - or possibly requires a second job - is paying for the mats for all the enchanted crests I need on the army of alts.)
I think alot of the FOMO and general growth in player knowledge is why elitism has become more prominent, when I was a wee boy.
We had thotbot which was one of the only ways of searching online which took a fair bit to navigate, travelling in-game took a while. Flying was limited to flight paths, the only “end game” was pvp world pvp and bgs and raiding, nothing else. So there was only so much for people to know or fill the gap of knowledge in. It was free game and your knowledge was your own since official sources didn’t really exist unless you went to forums, youtube and any server based stuff you might of had to go to as reference.
Now in 2023 its like what for PVP: you got 3 new classes, a dozen reworks, borrowed power. High-powered copium fast gameplay which requires you to actually use your eyes and preferably have your buttons keybound, theres too little balancing to play for fun unless you’re ok with actively being rolled any time you step into content viewed as progression, objectively the skill gap in players doesn’t really exist outside of the traditional 3v3 bracket anymore due to degenerate gameplay being endorsed by simplistic classes and set ups in SS and arena
And your community was your server, play nice or make permanent enemies on that realm. Now however people wont shy away from being slightly less unhinged thanks to cross realms and just not having the same amount of free time as they did before.with content being possible to do cross realms now,
alot of people are more open to being remorseless for mistakes especially since alot of players first interactions are in that progression content where mistakes cost the dungeon or the match instead of at the auction house, in the main hub or creating a party for your first clear of deadmines. People are less to shy away from spitting the truth now since when you come unprepared and yet have the “score” supposedly, your hindering the party who took a chance to take you.
Now for PVE you have M+, raiding of multiple variants of difficulties and…thats it? yet people haven’t seemingly caught up. Either because their boosted, fomo players who don’t belong in the content their doing and are effectively boosted or carried by people who do belong to be there like boosters, or overqualified guild mates.
Going back to PvP briefly, PVP has grown. You have multiple arena brackets, casual pvp, rbgs, solo shuffle. The game has grown in many ways, for good or for worse. And just like M+ and raiding and the pve side of things, if you do rated pvp. Its to be expected of you to come with a certain level of knowledge or understanding when you get to a rating threshhold where game knowledge > class , else you wont get anywhere. Especially if you’re an underdog spec in a garbage meta like DF where some specs just shine out-right better than others.
The bar to entry has gone up, but that bar is just as easy to step over as the initial bar which was set in place. Most of the work is done for people, they just have to take the step themselves in most situations and usually thats enough to get you normal prog, maybe even heroic prog. Your 15’s all timed, maybe even 1600 in rated pvp. Baby steps can achieve that much aslong as they show willing.
The game can be fun, but you have to make your own fun, be it solo content or with friends. And you have to be ready to come across some of the most redundant players in the respective content if you ever decide to pug.
Maybe for you, but i am fully able to decide what i enjoy doing.
most still play for fun wat point play dont heve fun qeut play somting else i do get bored
Its ure own choice to use the services of booster i use them on alts and i dont rlly care tbh. They do a good job. Why do the hassle twice for portals no ty tbh.

The title is implying there aren’t people playing for fun.
Yeah I mean that’s the issue. The achievements of people become meaningless like this sadly. I know it’s just a video game, but if you do something hard, you probably also wanna wear it as a badge of honor, and not have others buy themselves in. The funny thing is though that the “it’s just a video game” argument is kind of weird anyway, considering people drop hundreds of euro on wow tokens to get the achievements that others worked hard for.
Speaking for myself, I still play this game for fun
I like keeping myself busy with all kinds of things. At the moment I’m in the middle of gearing my alts through Timerifts and the Emerald Infused Rares. Personally i haven’t been interested in current Dungeons and Raids since the release of M+. Think it’s the feature I hate the most in this game.
Also i switch between retail, classic hardcore and WotLK classic. For me it’s fun being able to switch whenever i fancy a change of pace.
Also things like collecting transmogs and pets I enjoy every once in a while. Soon Warcraft will celebrate it’s 19th b-day. Hopefully they will make a massive PvP fest again, I enjoyed those a lot.
I can see myself going for a while Still have old raids to look forward to when they become legacy
And this is where i dont get the whole boosting thing.
I managed to clear more than half the raid on mythic with my guild this season. For me this is an achievement because its the furthest i have gone in a mythic raid but i dont ever really look at other peoples raid achieves unless i am making a pug and then i am really only looking to see if they have been in the place before.
It doesnt matter to me what other people have done and while they may have the achieve for 9/9 mythic because they paid for a boost, THEY know that they didnt really do it.
People seem to be really obsessed with judging themselves against everyone else. It really doesnt matter to me if other people buy a boost because i dont judge myself against everyone else. It really only matters if i am happy with what i did.
I think i would feel worse being a boosted 9/9 than i do with my 5/9 that i have now.
I still play this game for fun.
I’m not at all involved with min-max, meta, trade/service nonsense.
And it makes the game all the much better for me. I can strongly recommend to try it!
First order of business is hiding that horrible chat channel.
