You had the option to transfer to Mograine and you didn’t take it. I took that chance and I’m so glad I did because now I don’t have to worry about any queues, people everywhere, tons of pugs every day and raiding guilds. Pretty much feels like Gehennas without the lag or queues.
That’s what OP hints at with cross-realm. Cross-realm grouping and shared AH makes megaserver advantages MUCH LESS SIGNIFICANT. And actually, if you knew that by taking the transfer, you won’t miss out and still be able to group up with people from your original server, or buy stuff from your original AH, there would be motivation to play on smaller, queueless servers.
MR does not need more players we DO NOT want a que or to become some kind of mega server so stop asking for more players to xfer
So weird when I started on Firemaw there were no queues. Now on days I have something planned in the evening I have to login and stay logged in for hours (doing nothing) so I don’t disconnect and sit in a few hrs queue.
Ppl defending Blizzard with ‘oh you knew this beforehand megaservers blabla’ you guys need to shut the hell up because every breath you draw makes this entire topic smell like blizzard’s butthole.
They have the funds and the means to give everybody a lag-free, queue-free experience. But spending money? They’d rather die.
You might not want it… because alliance is like 12000.
But i would like some more horde
its really ppl like you wth 10iq talking on forums all day. He did say other servers were kinda dead. what do you mean find another server.
Blizz should have locked the server way before ppl transferd to gehennas.
You cant create a problem and ask players to solve it. Bcs no one will do it…
learn to understand what the issue is.
Streamers who monetize Wrath (yes make money playing WoW) are on Gehennas so eitehr accept the fact the server will have massive queues or start over.
It’s players online over which period of time? I’m asking because ironforge pro (which is obviously not relevant these days because only a small part of the population raids or does arenas) used a certain metric (number of raiders/arenaers logged over 2 weeks), so these 3k+ and 1063 numbers don’t mean much unless they’re somehow related to the numbers we understand.
Oh no, if it isn’t the consequence of my own actions.
Go play on another realm, plenty around
A solution exists, you’re just unwilling to use it, and you’ve opted for the non-solution of whining about blizzard.
I get you’re upset that your plans were ruined after planning ahead. However, throwing a tantrum over something you should have (And you definitely do) know could happen, happened. So you have a choice now: continue as is on the server that you know is having and causing a problem or move to another, free of charge, that doesn’t have this particular issue.
I believe the term for this kind of behaviour is “HRC”, a help-rejecting complainer.
He did say that. But it is not true.
Yes, there are not 15.000 alliance online, but you can have way lower than that and not be a dead server.
Beside that: what if just 10% of the queued people moved to a so-called dead server … would it still be dead? The problem is people in queue keep staying on those mega-servers, and that solves no problem.
That is the anti (anti afk) at work. You better don’t move your character a little every so often and just let it afk until it logs off to character screen.
you are just assmuing things now.
There are also websites that show how many ppl ‘live’ on the server.
Agreed, Wotlk is my favourite expansion that it seems i won’t even get to play . If i move server ill leave all my IRL friends, socials and guild. Which im not prepared to do.
So sadly i won’t be continuing my subscription for it. As i cant play it anyway.
Yes it is, back in 2002 when they decided “Lets make a MASSIVE MULTIPLAYER online roleplaying game”
Lets not even pretend mega has more meaning than massive. Mega is just a nerd word.
If we’re being completely honest, any one in Blizzard that has any sort of negative feeling toward “megaservers” should find a new job.
Same for Nethergarde, it suck’s that Horde is so stuck in believing PvP servers ONLY PLX.
I have no regrets transferring from Gehennas.
We could use a bit more horde on Nethergarde.
There is no fix except moving off the realm. I wonder how your guildmates managed to raid? Do they cheat by using a stayed logged in hack?
Can people just transfer when they get a free transfer? For crying out loud.
I have friends spread across 3 realms. All because people refuse to transfer because they are afraid of going to a dead server.
Well, since the collective mindset has the same fear and don’t transfer because of this, then of course it will be like this. Of course it will be a dead server. It’s like looking at people investing in stocks or crypto. The majority think something will happen, if enough people think it will happen then it will. Bite the bullet people. Do something about it.
Is nothing to do with what other people do.
Blizzard can’t handle a 120v120 WG without crapping itself when it could handle it in 2008.
Any sort of nonsense about too many people on one server is a complete farce.
You couldn’t even do a 50v50 tarren mill vs southshore in Vanilla, so what, healthy servers have only 90 people on it?
If there’s any chance for them to keep their crap system as it is while having people move server, they need to literally state as publicly as possible that their servers are not close to the standard of other online services and that they care too much about how much their company is valued to the weirdos that buy stock.
Thank you for your input Sapling, as I cannot be bothered conversing anymore with these Blizzard ring-lickers saying the solution is in the hands of the players. Blizzard could open up servers with less than 5k pop and once it hits a certain threshold, close it again. But they would prefer to keep free character migration to empty servers, yes empty, empty in comparison to Gehennas.
There is no reason not to open up other servers, merge some servers or open up cross-realm. If cross-realm were implemented I guarantee you that queue would disappear in a week.
