I missed my raid tonight that I had scheduled one week in advance, because I play on Gehennas

Yeah, I play on mirage too. Never understood why anyone would want to play on Gehennas etc. They shoot themselves in the foot than cry and want blizzard to fix it.

The multitude of topics on this argument is hilarious, because you guys have the solution under your nose: if all the 10k players in queue transfer to another server, you will create your own megaserver.
Donā€™t tell me itā€™s difficult to arrange since you have super organized discords as you claim, great connected communities etc.

3rd party data is not perfect, there are people who donā€™t log their raids or have private logs. Dungeons donā€™t get logged. Neither arenas or people farming.

Just make a discussion in your discord, pick a server and everyone who is fed up with the queues, take the leap. Itā€™s free, and if you do it all together within a few days you have no risk of leaving people behind.
Blizzard doesnā€™t allow you to transfer to medium or medium-high pop servers because theyā€™d fill and have queues right away, with 8k of you transfering if given the chance.

Itā€™s that simple.

p.s. i played Classic in a 1k horde pop server (according to 3rd party), cleared all content and farmed (also with speedruns). Played TBC in a 2k-3k, cleared all content, farmed with multiple chars, pugs, gdkps, did 2.2k+ in arena with people i didnā€™t knkw before etc.
Iā€™m now on Mirage horde, where 3rd party says we have below 2k players, there is more than plenty stuff on AH, flasks are as cheap as 25g, last night we did dungeons until 4am with pugsā€¦ i donā€™t really see the point in must play in megaserver

You can only blame Blizzard that their own players need to rely on shaky 3rd party data.

As for the ā€œdeadā€ realm transfer, once again itā€™s Blizzardā€™s fault. There is a simple solution in allowing only a single point of transfer, until that server gets relatively ā€œFullā€, then they can stop the transfers and open yet another server and so on and so on. Removing decision paralysis from the equation makes biting the bullet and taking the free transfer a bit easier.

If they didnā€™t give you a choice, weā€™d have people blaming blizzard for not giving a choice to transfer, since people are sensible between pvp/pve and regional servers.

Players in megaserver are perfectly able to sort themselves out and choose a destination realm to transfer to. They are just lazy and planning on waiting for enough people to stop playing and queues getting reasonable again. That might happen at the end of p1 when people get bored of the easy raids of P1. But it will get worse again with Ulduar, so itā€™s not a solution.

I get it, but what would be the actual reason behind the complaints? 99% probably donā€™t know anyone on any of those ā€œdeadā€ servers they would be transferring to, so it wouldnā€™t really matter. Server identity? I donā€™t know about that anymore.

If thereā€™s only server to transfer to, then you know that you canā€™t end up making the wrong choice. If anyone ever transfers off any server for free, it would be the same one that you are on, so that would give at least some peace of mind.

When classic players get the experience they literally begged for then cry about it.

And then force off all the horde that pushed alliance away from Gehennas?

Your are getting disconnected if you are not doing anything in the game or just the same

Iā€™m glad that you all think Ashbringer is a dead server.

Every single day Gehannas queues go on more and more horde are moving over.

Server is getting pretty fullā€¦kinda wish it was only 1k servers tbh cause they iā€™d be able to do my dailies without waiting for mobs/nodes etc. On prime time, go do hodir dailiesā€¦its prob the same craziness that you have on Gehannas, just we donā€™t have a queue.

Just wait till November and those qs will either vanish or be a lot smaller.

But anyways, you stayed on a megaserver so it is partially your fault. Any sympathy I may have had vanished when you mentioned cross-realm PVE. You sound like a retail tourist.

@Jazmeh: Too many people only use a single source and do too little personal research into things. There are no English sub 1 000 WotLK:C realms, but some realms are extremely unbalanced, which may distort views. As for other languages, I suspect that in several cases low numbers are more a result of insufficient data rather than actually being tiny.

Canā€™t imagine still subjecting yourself to Gehennas queues 2 weeks into the expansionā€¦ For your own mental health, please consider migrating to a regular-populated realm so you can actually play the game.

As horde Ashbringer is great.

People are using programs to move their character about ingame so they donā€™t disconnect, itā€™s why the queues are so long and hardly move.

This is true and itā€™s honestly sad

Come to Thekal horde dude, we need hordes here. Oh wait Blizzard LOCKED THE SERVER AND MADE IT UNBALANCED AF

Even the german Patchwerk is now medium pop.
And this realm doesnĀ“t even have FCT (in contrast to Lakeshireā€¦ )

Just move your character to a lower pop server already, how hard is it to understand? Youā€™re literally deciding to stand in a long [word not allowed] queue, when thereā€™s an empty line leading to an exactly similar service/experience. This is all on you, not on Blizzard.

Some of the smaller realms had.
And would have wished to keep itā€¦

But i agree, on mega realms itĀ“s almost impossible to have something like that. too many people

Give me your advice, go and play on one of these servers with sub 1k pop?

And where do you get your data from?

Except all worthy servers are locked? I want to move to a lower pop server than Gehennas is. I am even willing to pay for it, but it is locked.
