My dad wants to give World of Warcraft a go, he’s only interested in the current fresh/anniversary servers that will progress to TBC at some point and maybe WotLK in the future, I told him that he will enjoy progressing and experiencing these 3 huge and beloved content packs.
He has no interest in PvP, he doesn’t want to deal with the stress of a PvP server, he’s retired and just wants to have a good time, he wants to chill.
We live in Europe and I was wondering if someone, preferably someone who plays on this server, could let me know how active and healthy the Horde is in Thunderstrike? He just enjoys the aesthetics of the Horde more, but if it comes to it he will go Alliance.
Horde is active on Thunderstrike, with levellers in all brackets and active guilds recruiting. Ally side is bigger than horde though but if he already planned to go Horde I just say: go for it!
What concerns him more is the population you know, that risk of the side he’s playing on becomes “dead”, then there’s no way where he can go since there’s no transfers and he wants to stay out of the pvp server.
On the other hand it’s nice to know that Horde is doing well on Thunderstrike , with people leveling and guilds recruiting… I guess that on the other side Alliance must be like a very full of life city, 24/7 non stop.
There’s always a risk, however, I wouldn’t worry too much about that.
How about he create a lvl 1 character on both factions and then check the activity in the LFG channel and Auction House, and then make a decision? And maybe speak with some of the players there.
