I wasn’t talking about effort though, more so difficulty. And for the PvP, I’m not saying you shouldn’t be rewarded well from r1, but I won’t go there since I hardly PvP. But then again, how is mythic raiding “a distant third” in terms of effort? Most guilds progress months on mythic tiers.
That’s what we need, more rng!
I’m not getting into this argument but you can just check the amount of people getting r1, clearing +25 keys or the amount of people clearing mythic each tier and you’ll see mythic raiding at #3
It’s. Capped as it should be M+ should never of given BiS gear that is for raiders which is the most time. Consuming game eliment or the high rated PvPers which in turn requires dedication and the stat weights are different too.
If you reach a point you’re stuck on you should have to run harder content in an MMO to get better gear not just pray to rng gods for a loot drop
Fair enough, but I’d say there are multiple factors to that. First of all, WoW is imo a PvE focused game, and if I’m not mistaken only a certain amount of people can even get R1. Also there’s not really much incentive to push +25s because you won’t get anything other than Rio score. So I get where you’re coming from but I would still disagree.
Still doesn’t change that people can’t clear it (At least for 99% of players it’s never gonna be doable). Doesn’t matter if it’s just cause of Rio score, every mistake will one shot you at 25.
Yes only a handful of people can get R1, which is why they should be rewarded accordingly imo. Even world first raiders need to be carried by people in their guild (trill for limit for example) to make sure everyone can even get a 2.1k rating vault meaning the people reaching r1 is far superior at what they do.
And you’re free to have your own opinion, I just wanted to leave some stats
Are you saying trill was carried? He was subbed in for a specific mechanical task in the raid which in turn carried the team it’s why he changed his in game name to sludgefister
I’m saying trill carried half of their raid team to 2.1k for the first weekly vault. Check again what I wrote
Aaah I miss read thanks for claryfying I was like wait wtf lol
Trill is imo the best player in the world, he does everything. RWF,MDI & Blizzcon
I think I agree. He’s really fun to watch for sure I only started taking notice really this tier properly of trill but I never ever want to fight him lol scary af
Just watching him now top dps currently on sire and calling mechanics guys a god.
It is not harder, it is diffrent.
And?
You gear faster the more content you participate in, what a shocker.
I am a M+ mainly player, and I NEVER PvP, despite having most of my bis items from high ranking in PvP, or Mythic Raiding.
I pug the raid sometime mid-season, and removing Titanforging is awesome.
Joeschmoe who did world quests and won the lottery wont have 6 more item levels because of RNG anymore.
Oh if only that was the case.
Casino loot is still the only loot there is, there is just one aspect of gambling less - titanforging. Sockets are still there, you are still praying for RNG for the weekly chest/vault, only now you’re having more choices if you’ve been spamming M+ the whole week while also clearing the raid and doing PvP. On the other hand, all PvE sources of gear have been gutted in terms of drops, so that we have more choice when taking that ONE item from the vault.
So here’s a scenario: in BfA you do 10 M+ keys which gave 20 items in total spread over 5 ppl, and 1 item from the weekly chest, now in SL, you do 10 M+ keys, get 10 items in total spread over 5 people, and once again the 1 item from the vault. That one item has a higher chance of being less useless, but you have overall received 50% less potential loot.
It’s STILL an RNG fest, and will forever be one until they let us target specific gear.
That’s not a fair comparison. The only reason so many people cleared mythic raids was the gear that dropped from weekly vault for clearing +15. Same with 25+(also probably with trinkets/weapons from mythic raid)
But it is. Guess we’ll check back here again when the new raid releases and we can compare numbers between people doing the highest keys in the world and how many people managed to complete that key level VS how many 20 people raids cleared mythic.
Either way it makes no difference to me and titan-forging should never return to the game. I enjoy this style more where you’re geared for the content you’re doing not for 10 levels above your content
That was never the case and is one of the bs arguments that keeps getting regurgitated in the community.
Casual players that never do competitive content NEVER, at any point in the game had a higher overall ilvl than anyone who was doing M+ or raiding consistently. Maybe they got lucky to get 1-2 mythic titanforged pieces of loot but so what.
I think you missed my point. Mythic raids can be overgeared, +25 can’t, so the number will always be skewed. It’s like comparing apples and oranges.
It’s like comparing content you can overgear to content only people that are super good at avoiding every single damage mechanic (and do enough DPS to still clear within timer) can do… I wonder which one should reward better stuff
