A whine post by me yes deal with it everyone does post whine posts here its normal in every single wow forums even other MMO community forums.

tonight whilst I doing MC gutgore dagger dropped and they wont let me roll because of (Sugar) loot system by community we have in this like +1s not sure if it has always been a thing in vanilla but I left the raid in rage and vow never to raid again. I rather do dungeons and pvp these days but I rather be in a community and realm where they have acceptance of casuals like me who wants to enjoy the game.

But raid is going well until we defeated 4th boss and things get (fudged) for me
and that will be my last raid. I don’t see where this is going for me specially gehennas where I mainly play. I rather level my characters and run around in order to maintain my enjoyment. specially at 60s things don’t get enjoyable for me.

I just level alts in classic, i dont know how looting works in pugs

Did you win something before via roll? +1 means that, once you win an item via roll, people who haven’t won anything yet have priority over you.

So, for example, if you and Billy are the only rogues in the raid, and Nightslayer Gloves dropped and you won the roll, now you’d be at +1 and Billy would still be at 0. If then Gutgore drops and you and Billy are the only ones rolling, Billy would win regardless of your roll because he hasn’t won an item yet, unlike you. If, after that, Nightslayer Shoulderpads drop and you and Billy roll, you’re once again on equal priority and whoever rolls highest wins.

It’s a pretty fair way of handling loot in PuGs if you ask me (though not as much for guilds, ofc). If it was told you this was the looting system and you joined regardless, then you have no reason of feeling enraged at the result. If you didn’t know what +1 means, you could’ve asked the raid leader or somebody else.

like I have no where to go with leveling alts where there are players mostly do quests each other specially elite quest but no one does them in gehennas so I might aswell reroll on another server that is more casual friendly

There are all sorts of loot systems used in classic. I would advise changing to a guild that has a loot system you are happy to raid with.

I know it feels annoying when you get screwed by the loot system but you don’t need to overreact and say never raiding again :slight_smile:

I don’t think any guilds in gehennas would do that. I rather reroll on another realm

You should have checked the loot rules BEFORE going on the run. No rules means they can do what they like with drops.

I don’t do that, you however should have checked the rules for the run. This isn’t retail.

+1 is pretty much the fairest loot system for a PUG raid you can use

You must have already had an item in the instance - as has been explained

No reason to rage quit in such circumstances

The question is, how did he came to think that in a PUG raid of 40 people (or at least 30+), that specific item was intended for him and only him ?
Or is it just another display of the self entitlement today’s gamers have in all circumstances ?

+1 means you can roll on loot you need (that isn’t already reserved)
then if you get some loot on the +1 roll you use that roll. It’s gone. Your priority on loot ends.

Then you can only roll on main spec / offspec loot roll gear not anymore +1 rolls

the prio is +1 roll > main spec roll > off spec roll
