I refuse to believe blizzard doesnt see the immense problem caused by HvH change

You play Alliance because you have some advantages? Mhm tell more about Your story. If you don t find any reason to play Alliance you Just should Re-roll dude, you’re Horde . Im straight and i go with girls … i have some advantages to be straight ? Mhh no ?

Problem would be almost non existent if there were no lvl58 boosts, that is the main issue here.

When I say “problem” I’m talking about faction discrepancies, problems between amount of horde vs alliance pvp-ers will always be there, but lvl58 boost just made that problem 10 times worse.

I decided to play alliance for classic because:

a) I dislike mud huts and voodoo
b) I prefer the aesthetics to horde monsters
c) I foresaw the huge bg queues and decided I don’t want to wait 30 mins for 80% win (it turned out it was going to be much, much worse)
d) I am also casual pvp’er, meaning I enjoy a bit of wpvp and sometimes queue for a bg, not make it my life’s purpose.

At the moment, there is no place for a casual pvp player on alliance side. Signing up for most pvp servers means you are banned from ever using the summoning stone, can’t farm motes, can’t farm mines, can’t herb, can’t make gold, trailing even further behind in wealth, all the consumables on AH get more expensive. Very difficult to find groups as a pugger.

Also, horde have the advantage of booting you from their farm spots, dominating a pve server won’t hinder the opposing faction from farming if they can get the tag on the mob so that point is moot.

I haven’t even logged in since the change and will let the sub lapse for now. I might come back for free transfers but I’m not paying a cent for anything else. It’s basically extortion.

It hasn’t literally affected you in any way during these few days. Sure, over the next year or so the faction imbalance might shift even more to the horde side, but it is funny to instantly leave the game and claim it is due to HvH as nothing has changed so far. The only change is you getting upset over a video game.

Same could be said for the tons of horde qqers threating fire and brimstone and lapsing subs. Why the hell would I invest my time and energy into something I know for a fact will be a dead end in a few months. Just so I can shell out for a transfer to another server? No thanks, blizzard.

And that statement about it not affecting me is bonkers. This was blizzard’s chance to balance the factions. They took the easy way out, gave hord crybabies their instant gratification while dooming the alliance to always be the pepsi to the coca-cola.
I already have a sh*t experience as alliance. I can’t farm, I have to play hide and seek while entering instances, I can’t world pvp cuz I get blobbed. There’s a ton of cons for 1 pro - instant queues and aesthetics I like.

Enjoy your game. I cba with this crap.

Can’t wait for same faction world pvp when servers are dead so as to not hinder some nerds good time.

so just to be clear here, the only reason to play alliance is for the instant queues right?

ok

before HvH change > 20-30 of each bg open, on a good day, tops. about 5-6 AVs open.

after HvH change > 200-250 of each bg open, about 10-20 AVs open. (after all AV is still unaffected so this number could potentially be much higher, and for some reason the queue time even for AV is drastically reduced on horde side as well, the reason for which i am still wondering about)

tell me again how alliance are oh-so-interested in pvp that they join the faction solely for instant queues when the BG scene was completely dry in alliance attendance before the HvH/AvA change.

the fact that the number of bgs quintupled after the introduction of same faction bgs confirms what we all already knew;

  1. you alliance players are lying through your teeth, because you don’t actually play pvp OR you actually all farmed all your resilience gear already, in which case you have a massive advantage in arena when facing horde teams, and you are afraid you will lose this advantage. either option makes you look bad.
  2. it solved all of horde’s queue problems
  3. you started crying about muh disadvantages despite the obvious fact that nowhere near enough of you were queuing up for BG before this change, which makes your argument that it was supposedly the only reason to roll alliance, a complete and utter lie.
  4. you just cry about unfairness in the hopes that blizzard will give you another hand-me-down like they did with the paladin seal of blood.

there is this monty python sketch where someone tries to reason with someone that just repeatedly slaps him in the face with a fish as a reply

Doesn’t this show more of how bad the balance is?
Everyone goes off ironforge pro, but that data is not the best to go off by.

I honestly think that blizzard only looks at the ‘majority’ problems. Faction balance on ~90% of PvP servers is irrelevant to them, because the majority of Alliance players play on PvE servers. The Alliance complaining about faction balance just doesn’t have the numbers for them to care, where Horde queues affected every horde player.

you know, i am sick and tired of people using ironforge pro when they want to make a point about population, yet refute it as incredible (as in un-credible) and discard it with a handwave when someone else does the same thing.
i see it time and time again on these forums.

guy1 will literally use ironforge pro stats to make a point in one thread, and then discard it in another thread when guy2 uses it to make a point.
it gets my blood boiling.

either the stats on there counts or they don’t, you don’t get to choose when they count and when they don’t based on what your current narrative is.

Most likely because if you want to play alliance you have to choose a PvE server not to be a minority

People use it as a basis on the population %
It can work as an example, but it’s not a reliable way of actually seeing the true population.

This is a BIG lie, nice try though.

its the closest we’ve got, so we’ll just have to accept that as fact.

It’s not though. I farmed 54 EOTS mark in one day during EOTS weekend, received approximately 4k honor. That is just one day mind you. If that tauren then was able to farm 6k honor in 12 hours, I would say we do have it worse.

Yeah nice BS mate.
An average loss of EOTS equals like what 170ish honor.

So with your 54 EOTS marks you would’ve earned approx 9000 honor.

It’s not though:

That is not an average match at all.
