You could have been anything, but you apparently chose to roleplay a Neanderthal.
Youâre like a kid. True pros play with arrow keys.
(Not even a joke, there was a player at AWC playing with arrow keys)
Honestly not that weird if you think about it, considering they would most likely be using an MMO mouse and their pinky would easily be able to reach CTRL and SHIFT.
Nah, ur wrong.
Shift/Ctrl+near key as Shift/Ctrl+E, R, F, etc. is the most efficient way of using binds in a game played via WSAD.
Didnât read the whole thread, so maybe it was already brought up:
So if the pinky finger is the least controllable, why should I trust it with hitting more than the modifier keys?
Plus, you only speak of one modifier key. How is that efficient?
Using at least two, or even three, ist far better if youâre able to pull if off.
Seems like you do it all wrong.
Right? Itâs the least controllable so you only have it press shift and ctrl lol
To be fair, I have it press < and y too (qwertz keyboard, so the two keys to the right of shift), sometimes even alt, plus I can use my thumb to hit lots of keys - anything from 6 to 9 and below is in range, and the thumb is easily able to hit them reliably.
I really donât know how my pinky should do that. I mean, from playing piano I guess Iâd be able to also learn that, but just not as efficient.
What a stupid thread.
People like myself have learned to do that, because it helps us to be able to Multitask while simultaneously hugely Optimize our efficiency to react to many specific outcomes.
So much more, than your traditional old school click with the mouse does, which can be absolutely horrendous when you wanna for example line up CDs with Useable items. And for all those constantly complaining for example of M+ threads i see on here.
Keybinding is like essential if you wanna be able to master how to handle multiple outcomes, when s*** hits the fan and you can then correct them extremely quick.
Where as with mouse clicking your basicallly dead because your reaction will fall so hugely behind you canât course correct quick enough before itâs too late.
And thereâs the method of moving your character with the mouse which means you need not use ASWD as a âsolution.â
Definitely
OP is trolling and idiots are taking the bait
Meanwhile me: Used PLĂĂ because Iâm a Danish leftie.
Whoop-de-do.
You do not need to hold down shift sturdily in WoW so the weakness of the pinky is not an issue. Itâs a frigginâ modifier - youâre supposed to tap it for only a split-second longer than the key you want to modify. Furthermore you get ctrl and alt there, whereas with IJKL you only get ALT and have to reach insanely far to get to anything else.
You could simply just use the ALT key on the left side while using WASD which of course instantly invalidates your whole argument for why IJKL is better - you donât have to use your pinky any more and can use your thumb.
Now, because my thumb is resting on ALT, I found it very uncomfortable to reach for for the keys on the right side like Ă and Ă, which basically meant most of the binds I could easily use were to the right with my pinky, but of course over-reliance on the pinky is what you were trying to avoid.
On top of that, the Danish keyboards do not actually have a right ALT key anyway - instead they have the ALT GR or alternative graph key. This key in Windows acts like ctrl and alt held down simultaneously, and on Linux it behaves as an entirely separate modifier that is neither shift, ctrl, alt, or meta (windows key) and is used to write these symbols: @sÂŁ$âŹ{[]}|âŹ\”
Notably it is not registered in Wine at all which means that WoW simply doesnât see it at all.
You also canât jump and hold down the modifier at the same time, whereas with WASD you can hold down shift and jump at the same time no problem.
So yeah, 99% of people are keybinding just fine.
Use a razer naga and donât care anymore
I use 1-6 +QEF+Mouse 123456
I will never use a Key+Key bind, screw that.
This is also the main reason i will never try out Final fantasy EVER.
Too many buttons.
OP acts as if weâre supposed to do surgery and have precise control over every action, may itâs literally whatever someone is comfortable with. Thereâs plenty of people here who have higher rating in multiple scenarios that donât follow your âbeyond allâ which shows itâs a pointless discussion in the first place.
Get of the high horse please and let people do what they are comfortable with without trying to downtalk them.
i cant even fit half of my binds comfortably using the method you keep shilling, this must only be for DH and BM hunter players
Im a dh ⊠i use my face for all the modifiers plus keysâŠwhat do you mean im not optimized?
Actually my little finger has a constant bend in from the years of pressing ctrl and shift. I have evolved for it to be easy for me, not problematic.
If you straighten your fingers, and then slightly bend your little finger, thatâs a rough idea of my natural hand.
Iâm just sitting here trying to figure out, why we need an entire discussion on how people bind their keys.
Cus people like the OP is just extremely Pedantic.
