I said it’s not about being doable, it’s about being better. Sure I was able to use the asdw area for years and be skilled on it. But when I discovered how comfy the right area is I realized how important it is to not be fixated to relics of FPS gaming on an MMO of 999 binds because the main reason the asdw thing exists is FPS games that have 3 to 5 binds.
Arent you essentially giving up two modifiers by moving binds around hjku? I dont see how thats any better than the conventional method.
If it’s better for you, then great. I find it much easier to use my pinky to hold down shift and the rest of my finger to use the rest of the keys. I agree with you that the pinky is harder to control than the other fingers, but nowhere near the point of it being uncomfortable, or harder to use it to hold down a key that’s right under it.
If I use my pinky to hold down shift, it leaves my ring, middle and index fingers for most of the keybinds, and my thumb for space and occasionally the V and B keys, but I don’t have those on anything important.
Using your hand position, with my thumb on alt, I’d probably need to rebind jump because there’s no way I’m comfortably reaching the space bar with any of my fingers other than using my palm to press it, which is very uncomfortable to me, and I’d also have to use my pinky for a lot more than just holding down shift. I don’t find this comfy at all, but I guess you won’t believe me and accuse me of lying.
If it wasn’t a comfortable hand position, most people would have probably changed it over the decades and it wouldn’t have stuck for this long, don’t you think? Also this isn’t helping your point as shift and control are generally the default sprint and crouch keys in those games, and guess which finger is used to press those.
yeah it takes like 0.5 sec to move finger from W key to click bottom number 2 then move then back to W then on naga clicking 2 number key takes like 0.15 sec
so ofcurse the person with naga will do more dps …
The solution is clearly to use the arrow keys.
You must be a very slow person if it takes you half a second to do that. But looking at your writing, I’m not a bit surprised.
i dont speak english so i berly understand you orc …
azerty keyboard, here, but I’ll translate to qwerty for you guys.
ASD + mouse for movement.
Left mouse button hold = camera rotation.
Right mouse button hold = character shoulders rotation.
Left+Right mouse button hold = walk forward.
Mouse button 4 = auto-run toggle.
F1-F6 = activate action bar 1 to 6.
1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0,-,= = active action bar button 1 to 12.
Now here’s the fun part.
Bind every action bar button to something like this:
#showtooltip
/cast [mod:alt] X; Y
That way every button is potentially 2 different actions, and left ALT is very easy to pick up from the WASD position with the thumb.
Now, in battle, you don’t want your hand to move a lot, and maybe you want to bind of lot of action anyway.
But with this setup, just from F1 to F3 and keys 1,2,3,4,5, you already have 30 abilities. Which is clearly more than enough for most classes.
Now, a last little trick… you’re not forced to just use /cast [mod:alt] X;Y
in your macros.
For example, here’s my travel form macro:
/castsequence [stance:2,mod:alt] reset=120/ctrl Stampeding Roar,Dash; [nostance:6/7,mod:alt,talent:2/1] reset=45/ctrl Dash,Stampeding Roar; [nostance:6/7,mod:alt] reset=120/ctrl Dash,Stampeding Roar; [nomod,stance:6/7] Flicker; [nomod,nocombat,outdoors][nomod,stance:3] Travel Form; [nomod,indoors] Soulshape;
/click [btn:1,nomod,combat][btn:1,nomod,indoors] SSTF;
/cancelaura [stance:6/7,mod:alt] Soulshape;
where SSTF is a gnome sequencer engine macro that cast travel form in priority then soulshape.
A single button, that basically take care of every speed buff I can possibly have (outside of wild charge, but it isn’t really a speed buff).
Oh, and you should definitively use megamacro addon if you want to do something like that.
i use razer pro ( mmo king mouse )
if soemting is cheaper then 100 euros i dont use it becourse it is junk …
If you think your average reaction time is anywhere near 90 milliseconds, English is far from your only problem.
90 mills seconds more like 10 milseconds cant u match ?
Go ahead, do 10ms

Binds are personal preference. Next
I could believe that they tested you mentally. Just in a different way.
You have to be super human to use your pinky in gaming? Well that’s the dumbest thing i’ve read in a long time… i suck at this game and i use my pinky with no issue… maybe you’re just not good enough, having to use your palm and thumb like a baby
Seems to me that’s exactly what you’re doing.
Not sure what binding’s you’re using, but my pinky doesn’t leave shift unless I’m using ctrl modifer.
what u expect i am a roleplayer acting is what i do
u belive all this is real me ? no it is all a act a roleplay
Key binding is pretty much extremely personalized. There is no “wrong” or “right” ways. Its pretty much - > either it works for you or not.
What might work great for you, would break my fingers and my brain for me.
