I understand Blizzard's XP boost adjustments, but keep 25% on official

For testing out bugs more quickly at higher levels I understand that Blizzard spontaniously xp boost adjustment. But… Keep 25% on offical release.

And tbh, 25% felt quite good. Not too quickly not too slow, it is a nice pase of leveling.

I like the 40%. It makes leveling alts more appealing. A game should be fun not a chore. You should want to level your character not, oh if I just grind through this bit then I can enjoy the game. The pace 30+ in vanilla is just too slow, it turns from enjoyment into work.

No. This will destroy the game. WoW Classic was NOT designed around endgame content but around leveling, call any old dev and they will tell you this. Endgame is just the icing on the top, wow classic is all about leveling, if you don’t like it go to retail and boost.

“You are not playing Classic as I allow you to play”. People play how they want and what they want. If people are happy with changes they will play, if not the no. There are always Classic Era realms or other vanilla variants out there for someone that must have everyone playing exactly as he/she wants them to play.

Tell me, please, where to find a true Vanilla PvE server?

Why is serious advice so often taken as an insult?

He is right. The game was made for the leveling experience. Shortening it, will just lead to people reaching max level so much quicker and then… back to raid logging. Because you can only do raids once a week and there are only 5 of them that you probably won’t ever do in the same week.

Partly because what the heck are you doing in MC when you are ready to clear AQ? And secondly because it’s hard enough to get about 40 people to play at the same time ONCE a week. Doing it 5 times a week requires a very specific and very rare breed of gamers to achieve. Because not only can’t they be limited by their own RL, they also need to be motivated to run all five raids in the same week.

If you play wow vanilla for end game and not for the leveling, the game will bore you very quickly. Either through leveling that you don’t like or because of the lack of end game content.

Either way, your suggestion has serious drawbacks to consider. Never forget: If you try to please all, you will please nobody.

By your definition there is none and will be none. I played on Nethergarde Keep and had a lot of fun. This time will likely roll a druid on some less under siege PvE realm and do the same.

Because it’s typical for Classic to constantly hear how someone is allowed to play the game to a point that you should not be allowed to have fun playing otherwise…

And Naxx was made as the 1% elite content. We are 18 years into the future and nobody plays like back then. We use world buffs in a way that never was intended by original WoW developers words. We power level in instances because it’s fast. We don’t use dungeon sets because it’s trash. We don’t backpedal casting once per minute on Rag because that’s way not optimal.

And that’s the point. You stop doing old raids if you don’t want to. If a guild wants to have 5 TF and 30 BiS warrior then it’s not going to happen in SoM.

In my guild there were few that wanted enforce MC before BWL run but when over 20 people said no it was quickly rejected. People didn’t wanted to run MC so they did not.

Vanilla is good when fresh. After that it doesn’t matter what content you do as it’'s stale - no people in leveling zones while endgame is latest raid instances raidlogging.

The 12 month WoW is going to destroy the game if anything :man_shrugging:
Most people on my realm wanted fresh, but they’re not returning without world buffs and a regular schedule like the previous classic WoW.

… and yoiu’re not telling us how to play here? If you’re not happy ge Era. Why not also you figth for new Vanilla server = all happy?

You do not know my definitions … I never tried a Pserver, but all I found, were PvP.

I don’t play Era and don’t care about that. If the fresh will be good I will play there and if not then no.

And your moaning won’t change the game as none of us here is “Blizzard”. Especially when you want something that doesn’t exist and never will.

And of course you know exactly what I want … no?

You wrote what you want so it’s kind of obvious. Blizzard wrote why they aren’t downgrading UI like removing multiple attachments on in game mail or why they aren’t doing patch progression so your hunter will “shoot while moving”. Even private servers stopped doing simulated patch progression may years ago.

It makes it more retail. If you want alts flooding the game, play shadowlands.

More like “If you want alts flooding the game, play original Classic and pay for a boost.

Because it’s a 1 year term they increased levelling to make it easier to get to end game.

I think 40% is WAY TOO MUCH. I personally would prefer 0%. The leveling in an active world is the best part.

However, if they think it’s gonna be more popular with the 25/40% bonus, I rather have too fast leveling in a successful project.

EDIT: The argument is always “I already leveled in Classic” or something like that but dude, if you hate FRESH that much, then this is not for you. Let this be for the people that want fresh. It’s not gonna appeal to everyone, but it will be more appealing to the original target audience.

I feel Blizzard need to be clear on whether they intend the game to be “1 year then the servers close” - or whether they intend to open Naxx in 12 months from release. If its the latter its only comparable to 15 months and a week in Classic - which perhaps diminishes concern of how fast things might be.

As I see it these changes are less a reflection that content will come out faster (although it will) - and more that most people don’t like levelling. Hence why we saw so much boosting activity.

For me the main difference is that with 25% it smooths leveling experience but you don’t/barely notice it unless you are focused on it. With 40% you can actually feel it and i prefer when changes are felt. Also with a 12 month season 0%/25% may be too little for people with a life to start on end game content to not be left “behind”

Telling what I would like in and ideal world, and the changes or not that I could live with are not the same things.
