I wanna play classic tbc or vanilla? Where and how to start? Is still possible? I hate cata.
Vanilla you can play by launching World of Warcraft Classic. After launch you can choose between:
- Classic Era - servers progressed to the last phase of vanilla.
- Hardcore - same as above but if your character dies you can transfer to Classic Era or start a new character
- Season of Discovery - based on vanilla but your character can discover runes giving them new abilities and class roles like mage healers, warlock, rogue and shaman tanks. Currently it is in its third phase where your character can level to 50 and take part in Sunken Temple dungeon made into a raid.
For Classic TBC you don’t really have an option. If you want to experience the quests and dungeons you can play in Cata or Dragonflight and turn off your experience gain if you want to play through all the zones without outleveling them. For full Classic TBC experience we have to wait for Blizzard to release it again. I hope this will happen next year when Season of Discovery ends and interest in Cata drops.
Thank you for answer. I am kinda sad because there is no tbc. I really dont like cata… So i will have hope to soon see again tbc servers. Cheers!
I am sad too. Recently I got interested in playing a shaman and TBC was the expansion where they shine and were first introduced to the Alliance.
What about vanilla? Any of it’s flavors you like?
Its possible to play on vanillia yes? These era servers?
You can play vanilla on era servers and/or hardcore realms.
The downsides are: On Hardcore realms death is permanent and as I understand it, the era realms economy is completely inflated due to RMT and gdkp. This is not on all realms tho.
For TBC; you pretty much have to use a private server for this one. There are probably a few out there.
Thank you i will try lucky with classic one. I have hope some players still playing there
