I want to express once again that WoW needs proper ingame news about updates and unlock-summaries

Wasn’t every single thing in remix either on a vendor or listed in an achievement you could see from the achievements panel, except the title for the hidden feat of strength which, clue’s in the name.

Very likely an addon. Because I have none really installed and the “What’s New” menu pop-up only shows me a not-interactive image file with a “close” button below it.

For that you use the map now (with the map update from 11.0), there is no need really to open the AG at all really, aside of looking up items from Dungeons/Raids or World Boss loot pools.

The currency tab ONLY shows you currencies you have already received on that character once before.

So, if I need to find a currency that I didn’t find yet on that character, I either have to log onto a character that did or look it up on WoWhead.

It mainly shows me old stuff to do. Lemme list it up for you:

  • The War Within (Pre-Patch) (already done several times on various characters - including the one I look the AG through rn) (therefore counts as “old news”)
  • Dawn of the Infinite (old)
  • Random Battleground (old)
  • Skirmishes (old)
  • Rated Battleground (old)
  • Arenas (old)
  • Solo Shuffle (old)
  • Siege of the Dragonbane Keep (old)
  • Sparks of Life: Waking Shores (old)
  • Zserkas Vault (old)
  • Eon’s Fridge (old? No idea what that is)
  • The Archives need you (old)
  • A Worthy Ally: Loamm Niffen (old)
  • Superbloom (old)
  • A Worthy Ally: The Dreamwardens (old)
  • Grand Hunts (old)
  • Community Feast (old)
  • Time Rifts (old)
  • Soridormi Friendship (old)
  • Dreamsurge (old)
  • Blooming Dreamseeds (old)
  • Sins of the Sister (old) (need to do that one still, so new)
  • Just for fun (no goal, just a message board)
  • Gold Coin (claimed it just now)
  • No further entries

All of that stuff is OLD CONTENT by now. The Pre Patch event maybe aside, but since I already played it to high extents, I know everything about it.

The “Suggested Content” page shows you what stuff you can still do in a week. It doesn’t actually show you new stuff.

Seems so. Yet “Gem Procurer” or whatever the trinkets vendor has as title is explicitly not telling that the vendor sells trinkets. I just found it and if the title of the NPC would be more straight forward, I would have found it right away back when Remix started… But nooooo, it has to be something with “gems” in the name.

It’s not like we get thousands of gems in a week on itself, making one guess the vendor is just for gem upgrades instead of also selling the trinkets (and showing the requirements too).

Or alternatively you could pay attention to the in game quests, world of warcraft news, the forum posts linking to that news by the blizzbot etc that all explain what is coming and the currency that is going to be involved. If you are incapable of reading those sources then yes by all means google. There are ample sources for new sites, content creators etc etc.

Remix everything was readily available to you in the Bazaar. There was no hidden vendor, each one had their currency showing and if they weren’t available to purchase (the option was red) then you could hover over it to see what the requirement was to unlock it.

You made a mistake, for some reason you can’t accept that you overlooked things and now want the game to go overboard and treat everyone like they a toddler who can’t do anything for themselves and I simply don’t agree.

Excuse me, Puny? Please re-read. I said from the very beginning it is partially my fault. Still doesn’t excuse less intuitive design in WoW.

Those items are explicitly just extra copies of the achievement reward rings / trinkets incase you delete them or so you can buy them on alts. They aren’t collectibles or transmog or anything even relevant outside of remix itself, they aren’t even different to the ones you get from the achievement rewards themselves.

I know, but as others have stated, they display what achievements are required for them, which can serve as a hint to how to unlock them. But if someone, like me, didn’t find that vendor before, due to insufficient vendor titles/names, it should be no wonder why some people have trouble finding what they are looking for just with the ingame informations available.

They’re listed as the reward from the achievements themselves in the achievements panel too. Same with all the other toys / one time bronze rewards for doing the quest chains.

Overloading everyone with too much information on every little thing that exists in the game will overwhelm players too much. There has to be a balance between the quest leads you here and the you the player investigate what the vendors in that location have to offer.

I get overloaded by the insane amount of news we get full time. What they could have done is a quest towards the vendors when you hit level 70 in remix. The moment you actually probably want to go there. And a quest with something like “you probably noticed you did not get any trinket/rings” and some explanation.

I basically got there and bought a trinket because my friends guided me. Otherwise i had no clue.

Why would you wait until 70? The whole point was the game directed you there at the start so you could see what you needed to do to unlock them. Remix isn’t like regular Retail, you could raid at low level, do heroics, and hc scenarios.

Oh i didnt know you could do that (and was supposed to). I found out after hitting 70 i did not received any rings/trinkets/neck.

This is my remix char. Still missing those slots.

This is what I mean about people not reading the information that Blizzard already provides.

It includes and extensive breakdown of what content is available at what level.

If people didn’t look at the vendors and then that is on them. You were specifically lead to the bazaar in your first level through. There is nothing wrong with making a mistake or not looking, everyone can do that. But that is not to say the game didn’t show people.

They should provide basic information in the game. That is what this topic is about.

That news item is an insane amount of overload of information to read.

And to many of us that basic information already exists in the game. That is what this discussion is about. Two sides of the argument.

Where is that information in the game?

Which part the vendor you didn’t inspect or the group finder you didn’t look at?

So a vendor is telling me those stuff is not rewarded by normal leveling? I for sure do not check every vendor in every hub i come in the game while leveling. It already took a very long time to level my char. But when i would needed to do that then i probably would not even make it to finish the char before the new expansion started.

I havent done any group finder content while leveling my char. I didnt play MoP so i stay away from content people expect me to read even more guides. Everything in remix was new to me.

A quest that sent you to the Bazaar was for you to investigate the vendors. The game lead you there. Had you inspected the various vendors, you’d have seen that one had necks, rings, trinkets and that there were requirements for them. They had achievements listed for each which you could find in the Achievements section specifically for Remix.

Had you picked up the daily quests in any of the Bazaars you’d have seen that you were being sent to the three types of group content available in game. Blizzard in addition to this put out news blogs, links to the forums to those blogs, various info and a video.

There was more than enough information available.

Can be  Everything you just said is very new to me.
Every quest is leading to some hub somewhere. I am not checking out every vendor in every hub. But if i would have investigated the vendors i still would not got assumed i would not get those itemslots in the normal game while leveling.

Then the fault lies with you not the game.

You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make them drink.

Maybe in future pay more attention to what quests say and do, or just be happy to look things up in your own time. There is absolutely nothing wrong with not caring at that point in time and wanting to look it up later. And tbh this just proves the point that no matter what they do in game people aren’t going to read or pay attn to it.
