I wanted to play the entire content of the game solo.
I quit WoW before the Legion expansion. I even gifted my battle.net account to my brother. Both because I was bored with WoW and because I hated Diablo 3.
After the release of Diablo 4, I opened a new battle.net account and bought D4. Unfortunately, I got incredibly bored. Despite being so bored, I said I had hope, maybe the expansion will improve. I pre-ordered “Vessel of Hatred”. I haven’t played it for an hour since the expansion was released :))
A few days ago, WOW’s new expansion got me curious. I read the reviews. When I read about the Delve system, the warband system, the dungeons where we can see the story alone and play with NPCs, I bought “The War Within” with a 1-year subscription.
I’ve been playing for a few days. It’s great that solo content has expanded for players like me who like to play priests but are tired of the oppressive environment of Dungeons/Raids. My dream is to play an Action RPG in the WOW universe, to do Raids with my own developed sub-characters :)) I have a dream of a WOW without a daily quest system. I hope they remove this ridiculous system that oppresses people. Maybe blizzard can achieve this :))
I think there are many people who want to play the entire content of the game without needing anyone. Because when people get old (I’m 50), they don’t want to listen to others’ whining. We already have enough troubles. Don’t bother us in the game
I would like to write even longer.
As a result; I want to play the entire content of WOW as SOLO. I hope Blizzard continues in this direction.
Quests - solo
Dungeons - solo (Dragonflight expansion and later as Follower Dungeons. Past expansions outside of time walking)
Raids - Solo (Pre BfA expansion and Story Mode for TWW)
Delves - solo
The only thing you can’t do solo is current world bosses, the previous two expansions raids and PvP.
I agree i would like to see more solo content added to the game aswell so new players can get a good single player experience/story before mabye jumping in to the multiplayer sea.
I thought the Nerubar palace solo kill was great but they could expand to it being all the bosses and mabye a more story focused raid that would be quite engaging.
Mabye this could be a final chapter to a campaign mode in the future where you can head in to the raid and finnish it off that way.
Mabye some of the characters that are in this expansion can get their hands dirty with us in said content that would be cool.
WoW will never be able to compete against single player RPGs and over the years the community has been (and still is) complaining about any player-player interactions.
I don’t just mean PvP but also during world mob tagging, gathering, fishing, the auction market, professions as well as dungeons and raid pugging, meeting another player is considered “meh…I wish this guy wasn’t here” instead of an encounter that enhances your game experience. Which is the whole point of playing an MMORPG.
I also hope blizzard continues in this direction so this game will finally die and I can find a better way to waste my time.
That’s the thing.
If I am fighting mobs and a druid swoops in to nick that node while I was fighting, that’s not enhancing my gameplay.
Same for when I found the mob I was looking for and someone on his mount drops down and nukes it, doesn’t enhance my gameplay.
I am all for adding more situations that actually allow cooperation between people and give the rewards to all engaged, but so far have seen very little of it.
Ok wow isnt meant for solo play, it never was nor will it ever be.
Wow is an mmo not an rpg the 2 are not even close save for the fact both are set in fantasy type universes.
If your looking to complain about it you should just stop, log off cancel ur sub, then go play breath of fire 3 on an emulator bc thats what your expecting ftom wow or diablo.
Making a post over this looks like your stamping your feet like a child would bc its not what you want it to be.
I will never understand those that post this kind of nonsense, nothing you say or do will convert the millions of peoples views who play wow nor will it convince blizz to remake the whole game just for you.
So either put up with it or dont thats all you can do theres no need to complain and kick up a storm over this sort of stuff.
In fact the only sort of reply your gnna get here is either sarcasm or being flamed.
You can by all means consider my reply to be a realistic response to your nonsensical post.
Now i realise you may or may not be upset by my words but what do you expect ? Ask a silly question get a silly answer, make a silly statement and get put right harshly …
Im not intending to offend you but honestly the post you put up is pointless…
All those pvp thongs you listed are part of the mmo experience as for nodes/ mob tagging theyve seen massive overhauls over the years.
So much so listing them is incorrect mob tagging can be done by many players at one time now.
If you decide to play classic cata or vanilla hardcore or w/e then thats your choice and you will need to just deal with it.
Loool ikr im 46 myself and ppl crying is somthing that just happens hell the og poster of this topic is doing just that, theres just no way blizz will ever make wow a single player game.
Dont know about ego. But its like…? Whats the point of group content then? If you can get the same rewards for soloing it? It takes the point out of everything.
Its like giving everyone gold medals for just participating in the olympics xD whats the point
I also feel like the game looses some of what makes it an mmo. If we turn it into a single player rpg.
I hate to break it to you but World of Warcraft is one of the biggest massively multiplayer online games in history because of the players, not the player.
What’s stopping you from buying games that are similar to Wow but are designed to be played solo?
Since money doesn’t seem like an issue for you, God of War, Dark Souls, Horizon Forbidden West all share the same elements from World of Warcraft but they are designed to be played solo, those games were just examples.
But there are a lot of single player RPG’s out there.
When it comes to Wow, my suggestion would be, create your own groups for content, get to know tanks on your server and add them to your friends list, you’re already playing a healer class.
Then if someone is whining you can just remove them from your sight, simple as that.
And btw, they’re called the Alliance and the Horde for a reason.
