I wanted to play the entire content of the game solo

You mean how you can get top gear from doing 5 man content… Lets not start on that :stuck_out_tongue:

Really with around 2 mil subs right now… Ok what part of MMO is 5 man content… or even 10 man… lets go big 25… CoD holds more so it that a MMO now?

This is a very complex subject. An oversimplified example: if people could steal the herbs you’ve farmed by killing you, the price of herbs would rise and successful farming would feel far more gratifying.
But this type of interaction is completely abhorred by this community. WoW players don’t want others to have ANY negative impact on their gameplay, even if every game designer in the world would line up and tell them it’s indirectly better for the game if they do because in the big picture they enrich the MMO experience of the game.

This isn’t me judging anyone, but at this point you can’t call WoW an MMO outside of raids, dungeons and PvP instances. Other players may as well be ghosts.

Some would argue that its harder to do high level mythics than there is to raid. Still… I dont think just because you think 5 man content is too little? We should just delete it all and reduce the game to a complete single player.

I do support the OP though and think people should be able to experience the story trough solo content. I just dont think it should reward the same as grouped content.

It too me at least, Takes the point out of an mmo out of the mmo

Correct, nobody wants this as the default.
If you want this kind of game, play on a PvP server

You can create a char on the most dead server.

They would be silly… show me a pug than clears M raids…

So your hung up on gear? How do you feel getting Heroic level gear from weekies atm… No1 cares but those who need to feel superior.

What is the point of a MMO in 2024… Most just enjoy the setting and gameplay and the notion you can meet other players and or help… There is nothing Massive about dungeons…

Mythic+ has a timer and allot less room for error than a raid does… Where you can try and try again until you farm it.

I don’t think people should care about people who feel entitled to the same gear for less mmo play either. I dont see why a single player would even care to get the highest level gear anyway if they dont wanna play that content.

They can play the solo experience sure.

That is your view… To me its about making my character stronger and play with others. If I wanted to play a single player rpg I would play a single player rpg.

And you don’t need raid gear for M+ but here we are… Again we can go around and around as its the same lol…

The point is you still need to do group content regardless. I don’t wanna go around and around either.

This is such a weak argument…
Raids require more organization to even get going and take far longer to clear on progression.

Claiming you can farm a raid is the same boast as timing a +2 M+ in 624 ilvl gear.

Both require effort when progressing

But its true… With a guild you only need to teach your guild how to pull trough it once. When they got the mechanics you’ve basically got it in the bag.

Pugging a mythic+ though however is a mixed bag of experience. Every run is different. And you can more or less flip a coin wether its a going to be a success or not.

You do get less gear though if you only raid… Anyway we are both side tracking now xD the point we are discussing is wether or not the highest level of gear should come from playing with others or none at all…

I still think the highest rewards should come from playing with others in an mmo. Mythic+ or raiding regardless.

Oooh my god its keento xD I thought I was replying to croli

SWTOR is that way sir.

Uh huh, sure…

Yet more people do it and successfully clear keys than a pug in normal/heroic raid with the appropriate gear

Not sidetracking, just pointless bickering about something that doesn’t affect anyone.

It makes zero difference what someone else is wearing as gear or how they get it.

I am inevitable xD

Well its more normal to pug mythics and fail… Than it is people pugging raids entirely… Most people who raid do it with a guild or friends. With discord and organizing etc… Mythic pluss players do not.

It affects me… Idk about you but WoW is a competetive MMORPG… we are playing a game that has competition built into its game. We are all competiting against each other from braggins rights. Achievements. Rio score. Highest item level. Leaderbords etc… WoW is a competetive mmo by its nature…

To take that out of the game completely. And turn wow into a complete single player experience. rewarding the highest level of gear for soloing the game? It takes the competition element out of the game at least to me…

And If you don’t care for the competetive nature of wow? Why do you want the highest level of gear anyway? If you could already do the whole story and content solo?

Don’t ruin the sport of wow if you don’t care for it. And still get your solo experience… We are making compromises here… I support solo players getting their solo experience and full story for solo play.

Unless you are a world first raider, your “competition” is a personal thing and not something anyone needs to cater to.

So dont cater to it. You don’t need the same item level as everyone else to not do so. While getting the same single player experience in the same process

Blizzard can give the single player experience… And not ruin the sport of the game at the same time… Especially when we are talking about people who claim to not care about ilvls in the first place.

If they dont care. they dont need the best gear either for story content.

lol no its not… Were is the money on the line.

People like to upgrade their gear.
Just because you see it as a “competition” doesn’t give you the right to deny them that.

Alright then. Well if you absolutely insist. That single player content that rewards the highest level of gear in game should be really difficult and challenging.

It shouldn’t just be a cake walk you can just solo trough and get rewarded the best game in the gear for just like that.

It should be more rewarding to encouraged to play with others than playing alone in an mmorpg… I stand by that. I wont budge

You didn’t know Wow is one of the biggest games in history?
And you’re calling Call of Duty an MMO?
What? x)
