World of Warcraft is one of the biggest games in literal history, I don’t know what else to say except spell it out for you. =)
At one point, World of Warcraft had the most active players in the entire world and recently they even hit a new record on the TWW pre-patch, most logged in players at the same time.

Yes in Wrath it had 12m players… let me check my watch here o right in 2008… So just Ignore the likes of GTAV that never leaves the charts because WoW once had 12mil players… right

No matter how much or little an mmo you think wow is… its still an mmo dude. It shouldn’t just stop being an mmo just cause you don’t think it is so.

Never said it wasn’t but others who use that term to go against solo play… is kinda stupid lol.
No one here is against solo play so far. Ive even supported it too. We just think the endgame gear should be rewarded from group content.
You can sill have the solo experience. Experience the raids and the story solo if blizzard wants too. That can be done.
With no reward its pointless though? See story mode raid one boss no loot pass.
Rewards could be awesome new transmogs? Enchants? Toys and stuff? mounts?
Yet they didn’t… and if they did you know the ppl would be upset about it OMG I have to do this content…
What solo players can get from gear is more than fine (which is either champion 4/8 or upgrading veteran to 8/8, turning into i606). Anything else above is possibly aimed for progress or achievements.
Says who? You can get heroic gear from doing weeklies so I guess Blizzard doesn’t see it that way?
Screw them… Fomo players are no less forced to do such content. Anymore than single players are forced to do raids and m+ At least it shouldn’t be so.
Single player content that rewards awesome transmogs? mounts and toys? And people would complain? I will tell them to get some real problems to worry about

What else is there for a solo player with heroic gear?
At best you can tackle T9+ delves for the bragging rights, and that’s it. Maybe even get Zek’Vir hard-mode. Though the rewards are titles and cosmetics, so nothing that pushes their gear further.
Why do M+ need M raid level gear… Heroic should be more than enough.
