Idea: Reintroduce AOTC Mounts

I dunno. I’m more toward the side of keeping them exclusive to who did it at the time. Hence ‘ahead of the curve’. Think the whole point of them was to get people doing raids when they were fresh for something to achieve, a collectable if you will.

Only thing I would be for is if they added them to a timewalking version of the raid, but gave them a recolour.

This… we youngsters couldn’t even have afforded our own accounts at the age of 10.

If the Feldrake became a Twitch drop (and I made an acc solely for that…), I see no point in not giving a second chance to other collectibles, be it transmogs, toys, pets or mounts. And that was an item for TBC from the TCG. A mount that went for 3000 (!!!) dollars. Three months’ paycheck where I live.

Everyone needs a second chance. Basing the game on FOMO is just not fun at all and makes the player feel “forced” to grind or lose out on the chance to get it.

For the old content, it should have been a toggle of sorts in the first place, so people could go back to the old Azeroth or old dungeons to farm mogs and such.

As for seasons… they could be Twitch drops or trading post rewards with ease.

Or in case of PvP, if you earn Elite in one season, any season, you could buy any legacy PvP elite set for 12 marks. That way, nobody would say you didn’t earn it.
Say, I badly want the pvp set Thellanah wears, and what do I see? It’s… yeah… an elite set from Legion… and it never returns. I’d be willing to PvP to have my chance to earn it but as it is, I won’t.

Yeah, but what actually happened was that people just bought a wow token and skipped the playing part :man_shrugging:t2:
I’m personally against any form of FOMO, even if I have it myself. I think it just removes content. However, I also think the acquisition of past Fomo should have reasonable time gates and grinds. Let’s take M+: What if there was a currency for M+15 or higher that lets you buy past KSM mounts. I do have a KSM mount. I also have a AOTC mount, and I do own an elite pvp gladiator mog aswell. Why should they be gatekept, if someone farms them after reaching the same rating as me in the future?

Not at all. Welcome people using the Unique model. They should put more in the game.

The reward is not about having a unique model, it’s about a unique item which represents their achievements or participation.

But just because you don’t find prestige in a reward that requires work and commitment to earn, does that mean someone else can’t?

WoW is a hobby for many people, a life long hobby in some case. Just like someone might have interest in Cars and join a car club. Think of rare or unavailable items in the game as being the same as having a Rare or one off car.

Whilst those Rare or one off items, might be gone there are always new rare and time limited items being added to the game. Just go out and get those.

I think they should add more Time limited rewards, including ones you get just got logging into the game and playing a particular season. It encourages engagement in the game.

Yes you care less becouse amounth of stuff you missing is way higher than amounth of unique stuff you own so naturaly you are ok ruining those items rarity despite you own few of them. If you would own majority of removed rare items you would never want them return.

Its not FOMO.

forcing the players to continue playing because to be at the right time at the right place just to get something because if you are not there you will never be able to get is the meaning of FOMO
