Appearently the PTR currently has the post 1.11 Idol ZG enchant system running. This means that there are only 2 (usable by all classes) enchants per run instead of the 7 (randomly class specific) from pre 1.11.
You could argue that classic is based on 1.12. … but: You need to understand that the idol ZG enchant system is a catch up mechanism that was implemented in original vanilla when almost everyone had their enchants already. STARTING with the idol ZG enchant system will be a huge mess… 2 instead of 7 enchants is a huge change to original vanilla promoting a toxic meta like enchants res or enchants on gbid runs.
alot of people in our guild dont like this change to zg it will be a real pain that many people dont realize till it is in the live version of the game and is one of the worst features of the 1.12 patch mindset
Two bosses (Bloodlord and Hexdrinker IIRC) dropped “Idols”. The idols are handed in for class-specific head and leg enchants. The warrior one gave stam, block and defense.
Originally, more than 2 bosses dropped idols, meaning more than 2 people could get enchants per run.
