If Era Got FRESH What Would Happen?

If Era got a fresh server what would happen to population in light of era allows GDKP?

The question is what would paying customers choose?

Apparently only PvP customers want to do GDKP, ad this was the only server where GDKP exists.
With that i mind I would say PvE players ar emore focused on raiding and the progression - and therefore not want to take the easy road with GDKP. Just an observation.

What PvP??? PvP servers has been one-sided since mid Vanilla Classic (before TBCc)

PvP servers has been just like PvE servers all this time, just inspect honor tab from Firemaw cluster players lvl 60 in the cities ā†’ they donā€™t PvP, they sit in capital waiting for GDKP spot ā†’ they even complain about Freshā€™s dual spec because they donā€™t consider to have a PvP spec LOOOOOOOOOL

Ok, then YOU try to explain why GDKP only happens on the PVP server

these guys just ā€œFlexā€ for the eyes of their friends ā€œto be a part of a PvP serverā€

Being a part of a PvP server in WoW Classic is real Street Credibility, you seeā€¦

The sole reason for this is because many people rolled on pvp servers without wanting to pvpā€¦ they just rolled there because of bigger population and because their favourite streamer rolled there
Those pve sheep that should not be on a PvP server are the same people that RMT/GDKP/boostā€¦ very simple tbh

just to say ā†’

i got 20k+(x3) HKS with 3 characters on Era and iā€™m on PvE server ā†’

average Firemaw cluster lvl 60 got less than 5k HKS

People who want to progress with guilds tend to play on PvE servers, AND hate GDKP. I think that is why PvP servers should always allow GDKP and PvE servers should always ban them.

Youā€™re right. I am not in PvP at all, but if we get a chance to transfer our characters from Anniversary realms to ERA, I would probably move it to Firemaw PvP, since it is the most populated server.

Nothing new. PvP server will drown in bots, gdkp and dramas how people came to pvp server but dont want pvp. PvE server will again be alliance dominant with less bots and much less gdkp because of mentality of those who join pve servers.

What would the peopleā€¦ I donā€™t know, Iā€™m only one.

GDKP would be a mild deterrent to me, when combined with: be a pumper or buyer.
A new character is neither.

The idealistic-naĆÆve approach is to just join raids like in a guild, except instead of tracking progress within the guild, only to lose it whenever, you use gold. If you donā€™t get loot, you get gold. It also works fine in pugs, I suppose.

The reality is that between botting and time investment differences, it doesnā€™t do squat for casuals (who donā€™t have a guild with a schedule to begin with).

As such, I donā€™t have to care how you mess up your play time, if GDKP is fun for you, okay. You could even argue that RMT is good, because poor guy with ability to play can help out folks like me.

Problem is, botting is annoying (except zones are full anyway), prices go up and ultimately it becomes 100% business, 0% game.

Itā€™s really like orthodox religions. You canā€™t really draw a line halfway, so you just draw at zero.

Thereā€™s this folk tale that only PvP servers are ā€˜realā€™ servers and that that is the only way of having the ā€˜realā€™ WoW experience. PvE is ā€˜WoW-liteā€™. In 2019 so many rolled PvP because of this silly idea. And then hated it pretty much every step of the way once the very few weeks of actual fun wpvp were over.

I played PvP servers in vanilla, and yes it was a ton of fun most of the time for quite a long while. As a playerbase weā€™ve changed tho, I didnā€™t consider PvP servers for even a second in 2019, let alone now

Wellā€¦
If I want rewards, I have to farm honour, so I have to lure people to come to the slaughter.
I donā€™t even have to lie. Itā€™s a rough life, rewarding those with the skill.

Who will admit they have neither time, patience or skill? Would you?

Oh absolutely. I log in to have fun, relax, do some dungeons with friends. I donā€™t have the time, patience or skill to contend with groups of players of the opposite faction trying to hunt me down, Iā€™d feel like a trapped rabbit with the accompanying high blood pressure lol.

I think itā€™s a trap for quite a few players, thinking they have to prove something. For those who intrinsically enjoy that, who are actually wired that way, itā€™s fun. For anyone else, not so much. Itā€™s fine if you want to play for fun and conclude PvP servers are not your kind of fun. Anyone who wants to look down on that, be my guest. Iā€™m having fun!
