If i were a wow dev the first thing i would do -

Make WoW 2. Only this time theres no M+ there’s no WoW tokens. Rare items are rare be it from low drops or from challenging content that doesn’t get nerfed to the ground because people cry about it. Its about time items/loot/gear has meaning again.

allow fury and arms warriors to use glyph of thunder strike (thunder clap) which adds some lightning strikes to thunder clap.

they randomly broke it in the pre patch of dragonflight and have ignored bug reports about it since. i myself have sent in 2 in game and made 2 seperate threads about it.

its a fix that could be done while eating your breakfast and drinking your coffee with your eyes still half asleep.

back in Dragonflight it was largely unnoticable until they made the entire Arms set bonus in one of the raids center around Thunder Clap, then immediately it was obvious it wasn’t working.

now in TWW its even more funny - fury’s secondary hero talent tree (that no one uses because its 15% behind slayer) is built around thunder clap, yet Glyph of Thunder Strike is ‘invalid’ for Fury Specialisation.

heres my thread about it at TWW launch:

https://eu.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/yeah-you-still-cant-use-glyph-of-thunder-as-furyarms/530565/3

and heres my thread about it in the middle of Dragonflight:

add achievement 1000 mounts collected (usable by a single character) and reward for this achi will be some unique best looking mount ike Alunira

I would reintroduce all the previous retired mounts… even the black qiraji one.

With events scaled up for current dificulty or as a timewalking version, i will decide when i would get to the office :stuck_out_tongue:

fix bm aoe

introduce new vendor who you can trade 12 vault coins and relevant crests to get targeted m+ item even in myth track ( in general make all player power loot have an alternative way of being deterministicly aqquired provided the player did apropriate content in difficulty and quantity (some solo quests as a step in that path could be fun/chalenging too, like mage tower but with actual pseudo legendaries not just cosmetics))

remove dawnbreaker from the game

nerf mages a little

stop nerfing warriors

buff sp and prot pal

make mm able to lust with no pet

create an in game statue of the person who fixed the bug that made mm weapons break every rapid fire

I would:

  1. Remove Marksmanship from the Hunter and make a separate Archer-type class. Marksmanship would be replaced by a Beastrider Tank version. Think of a Gryphon Rider

  2. Introduce a Void Spec to Demon Hunters, and change vengeance to be more Aldrachi themed rather than Fel. Also, retcon Aldrachi to be demons resisting Sargeras, so it makes sense. Introduce a new vengeance demon form in the process.

  3. Introduce a Machinist/Tinker spec to the game with a Gunner/explosion specialist, a mechabot tank, and a field medic.

I’d probably just change my job.

Microsoft was faster than you … another 400 Blizzard employees just got a /gkick. Not gonna make customer support (or anything really) better.

Dyeing my hair blue and changing my pronouns so they don’t fire me.

After that i would make everything account wide. (Only for retail)

I like Marksman though… leave my main be.

Everything else though sounds good.

But it was still a season even back then? So ? Whats the difference ?

I wouldn’t remove it from the game. I think it should be a separate class focused on archery stuff with magic, etc. Magic doesn’t fit to the hunter class.

Blizzard kind of made the hero specs of hunters for a class that should exist in wow, but doesn’t, if that makes sense…

Yeah but then I’d have to level one up and it would render my main useless.

Is obvious that wow is old and slow. It needs a complete rework.
Remove flying mounts and seasons. Make the players more in charge of items and crafting than fixed recipes. Implement durability on items so that you eventually have to get new gear that is crafted. The list is long to make the world a living dynamic entity instead of a static season world where you have to start over

Remove the redundant low drop rates for quest items.
There is absolutely no need for low quest drops in 2024.

add physics in cloaks
fix armor designs
add more better looking shields

I would prune the difficulty modes to easy medium and hard there is just way too many difficulty modes nowadays for absolutely no reason at all.

I’m honestly impressed that I am not the only one who remembers this guy and this video in particular.
I once looked him up and it’s kind of a shame that he lost all relevance as a Youtuber. I guess now he’s just doing the channel as a hobby these days.

Anyway, if I were a developer I’d probably implement drastic changes, like Shaman Tanks and Ranged Spellcaster Death Knights,
