like I said, I leveled a void elf priest, the items didn’t make a difference until like 20 levels…
dps did not increase not enough to notice, hps did not increase enough to notice, nothing increased enough to notice
So if that is true then that’s kind of a different problem anyway. It makes hierlooms kinda pointless outside of the xp and gearing up pointless.
Of course people won’t get the idea, these people are the same people which aren’t happy with Classic wow, because they are casuals with a job complaining that they don’t have time for the game and everyone should enjoy even the end content. Is just wrong. These are the same people who don’t want blizzard to remove LFR/LFG, is just sad and sickening, content wasn’t for everyone and shouldn’t be for everyone. ‘‘I spent too much gold, so much time’’ boi. You can get to lv 120 in a week max 2 weeks without heirlooms. I don’t get how this, if you don’t have time, then don’t play the game or play the game when you have time. Period.
I started playing wow again like 20 days ago and I’m already ilvl 381. Is literally too easy, waaay too easy to get gear. Like imagine coming back to the game and after only 20 days you can defeat the last boss from the newest raid through LFR. No words.
exactly, that is, why everyone is using the heirlooms, for SLIGHTLY better stats and way more exp…
the stats do not change much anyway through leveling, so why not use the chance and increase the exp you get…
though, I did level the void elf without exp boosts, because I wanted to do some questing achievements (I almost outleveld outland anyway 60-80 by the way, I had to do a level stop, because the loremaster of outland requires you do do some BC dungeons, if you are at level 81, you can’t queue for them anymore)
Things may be different after the level squish.
Ok so taking out the stat problem, what about when you hit bfa and stats go crazy? What do think about my idea then?
well, considering I spent a lot of gold to upgrade the heirlooms, your Idea has to be absolutely free for everyone, who upgraded those heirlooms to max… then I wouldn’t oppose it
Fanks
Classic is going to be super casual friendly, even more so than ‘retail’, due to one simple fact: There is an end to the content so there’s no need to rush tiers.
Well, then tell us a little bit about you so we can understand that mindset. What job do you have? Full or part-time? How old are you? Do you have children? What does your wife say about your gaming habits?
It’s always harder to take something away, after you made the mistake of giving it. Heirlooms should never have entered the game, but now we have them, and people are gonna rage if they get removed.
I agree that the game would be better without them, and that xp boosts could be given by better means, such as professions.
The problem is that they take away an important aspect of RPGs - the feeling of progression.
Maybe WoW 2 could do things differently.
That’s sums it up perfectly yh
They should not remove anything anymore from this game. I have nothing against them adding optional xpbuff that people could use instead of heirlooms if they wish, but removing heirlooms would make me so angry. I have been collecting my heirlooms ever since they came out as expansion feature in WOTLK slowly but surely and having them gives me not just joy to equip my new alts on them but also joy of the memories of collecting them.
In general every time they remove stuff i get less and less interested of this game. It takes away fun from even new things and features, because they don’t feel permanent but disposable (because it feels it’s only matter of time when they get removed too). No more removing things.
That’s a huge strawman you’re making here. Remember you’re talking about millions of players, and most do not fit in your narrative.
Anyway.
Which is the point of LFR and reaching 385ilvl isn’t worth much tbh. Try to aim for 415, that’s where it gets challenging.
think looms can stay, but they could remove the exp boost, becuse if there is a level squish I do not think an exp boost is needed.
Faster. I’ve already got loremaster, already got my explorer, I’ve already seen everything the old world has to often, time and time again.
Just get me where I want to go already.
Or you could look at it that the game still has catch up mechanics (not a new concept) which have got you to 381 ilvl, you are playing at a time when we are onto the third raid and waiting for the fourth to come out. 381ilvl is not amazingly well geared and if you want to feel more challenged there is plenty of more challenging content out there. On the other hand if you feel you’ve completed your journey now then that’s fine too. WoW caters to all types of players. It’s very inclusive to all.
LFR is just an easy mode that allows people who don’t have the time or skills or inclination to raid seriously to go through a different mode that allows them to experience the raid storylines and see the raid environments. The game has moved on from the days where only a small percentage of the player base got to see raids. We have more difficulties now so serious raiders can still go for Cutting Edge achievements in Mythic or players can just do normal and/or heroic. Some will do all, some will only do a few of the difficulties. It’s all just choice.
If you don’t have the time but fancy a challenge there is also mythic plus. See how high you can push keys and do them on time. Or get yourself into Arenas and RBGs. Not everyone likes every part of the game. You really can just pick and choose what parts to take part in.
I would prefer to have heirlooms in every slot, and then have quest rewards to be cosmetic.
But they can squish all they want. If they don’t make leveling interesting, then it wont matter one bit.
I would love to have all zones scale from 1 to max though.
I’m an art student, I don’t have a part time job, and no I don’t have children, my girlfriend is okay with my ‘‘gaming habits’’ because I find a balance between all, but even tho I have to paint 6-7 hours a day, I find 3-4 hours to play, and I don’t want to waste those 4 hours on this garbage expansion, the current state of wow is just not okay. I want the game to be hardcore, and now you get people who are complaining that it takes 1 or 2 weeks to get lv 120, boy. If you think this game is hardcore…you should just change the game. an MMORPG it supposed to be immersive. All dungeons nowdays are made for speedruning. Raids are almost just a waste of time because every 4 months there will come a new raid and will just replace the items with a slighty higher ilvl. Like what satisfaction you get when you get idk…level 40? Indeed you don’t give a damn, because is way too easy, the game needs to be grindy. Even Ion the GAME DIRECTOR, knows and admitted in an interview few weeks ago that the game went down in WOTLK.
Because of LFR/LFG the game went down. The end-content shouldn’t be for everyone, only good players should have access to it, because if only good players have access to it, it’s more demanding, what happens if it’s more demanding? you get the feeling of grind, when you obtain something it comes with satisfaction. Nowdays if you kill the end-content boss and nobody gives a single f.
Is not about the ‘‘381 ilvl’’ It was just an example of how fast you can ‘‘grind’’ on this trash expansion.
