Good. Lots of these GDKPs are used for distributing gold that has been washed through the run among core members.
My money is on “those guys were doing exactly that and Blizzard finally caught on”.
I like GDKPs but gold buying is completely degenerate, like the WoW Token is too.

Look I never seen unaffordable potions, flasks or other consumables for outär EPGP guild raid on my realm yet we have many GDKPS running every day a week. Even crafting hits realistic prices to afford even for an alt in 3-4 weeks after phase start right at the time when you have time for one after finishing progression on your main for the most of the content.
All excessive gold goes directly to GDKP bids and stays there, while only a portion is used on AH, stimulating it. That reminded me of stock market, where people had money on paper that would never enter real sector of economy unless while system starts crashing. I am afraid that with full ban of bots (that is impossible) we would see a sharp rise of prices on AH as well as gold selling not dying even if both bots and GDKPs being banned simply because amount of gold in circulation right now.
Mate i am in no way supporting or saying anything good about RMT ,but are ppl really this dumb to believe banning gdkp will fix anything ? Ppl think gdkp are the reason gold buying exist and when they ban gold trading / bots / buying gold and all of that everything will stop. Let me tell you the first thing that comes to mind why this will fail and the only result is blizzard losing thousands of accounts ,but wont stop it. Ppl will still do gear boosts and RMT will still exist , ppl will pay directly by visa on virtual auction for items and no gold will be traded in game. How can you possible gouge if i go for example in a raid and im given an item without any gold trade happening ? Thats right u cant. Cut the crap, its human nature even in real life… if someone wants to buy something he will buy it, with gold or without , period. Just look at dumb retail, ppl paid by visa to get gladiators , super high dungeon keys boosts and gear … yes it is easier with the gold ,but if gold cant be traded ppl who want to cheat will cheat by paying real money directly for services . I will say it again … i dont support this ,but thats the way the world works…wake up.

These people advocating for literally innocent people to get banned instead of getting to the root of the problem & demanding Blizzard do their job and ban the actual bots/goldbuyers/goldsellers are disgusting. And intellectually challenged.
So there’s a big bot problem, and these geniuses think that removing 1 reason to buy gold will eliminate the problem lmfao. Banning GDKP’s will reduce the amount of bots by 0.

Everything else is limited. U earn so much gold ingame you arent gonna buy gold for most BoEs, apart from a minority of items which are incredibly expensive.

i used to be against gdkp too. but i gave up don’t want to put myself in disadvantage for moralitys. i don’t care where the gold is coming from. but gdkps would still work without sellers. fight the root of the problem ban the sellers/buyers.

Long story short; perma ban buyers and bots, give a temp ban for those who take obviously exorbitantly high amounts of gold in their GDKPs for items and delete their gold.
