Why not, if you brought illegal gold into raid?

As someone who’s intellectually challenged as you so nicely put it, I do still have eyes and manage to think (albeit only sometimes in the morning) that on ERA people made up to 4-5-6k per gdkp raid.

Epic mount costs 1k, enchants and consumables are expensive (and dictated by server gold which was insanely inflated through RMT on Firemaw) and even so, having 5k gold would pretty much cover all of that for months.

Now how come tens and hundreds of thousands of gold circulated between individuals? It was gear that they bought in gdkp raids.

The single biggest reason for RMT.

There were gold sellers in vanilla and they didn’t literally destroy the economy forcing you to do gdkps yourself because you couldn’t keep up with consumable prices which…and it’s exhausting to have to type this, were inflated due to RMT in gdkps.

You took part, you took your share and you liked it, that’s all the defends you have.

Yes botting is the root cause, but without gdkp bottlers wouldn’t be able to sell a fraction of the gold they sell because ppl don’t NEED that much gold without gdkp.

It’s a measure against the biggest gold sink in the game-gdkp.

And though intellectually challenged I can still see that as clearly as your thinly veiled defence of a corrupted system that you partake in at the detriment of the game and the player base.

Ban bots, goldbuyers and goldsellers. They are the problem, not GDKP’s.
They cause inflated prices in GDKP’s, but not only there, inflation everywhere else. Any gold spent on the auction house can be illegal gold. If you advocate banning GDKP’s, you are for banning everybody who trades or uses the AH.
Get to the root of the problem, urge Blizzard to do their job & ban the rulebreakers which are bots, goldbuyers and goldsellers.
Both parties happy, GDKP’s will continue being run because they are just a very fair way of distributing loot, and prices will be more fair because bots aren’t inflating them.

But something tells me, even if WoW had 0 bots and 0 RMT, you would still find a reason to hate GDKP’s, because other people have more time and or are more efficient than you at obtaining gold and thus getting gear faster. Or you’re not good enough to join as a pumper. Just a hunch.

No mate… they just fail to understand how the world works, ban gold trading , ban gdkp advertising , ban gold sellers , ban gold buyers… nothing will change. Ppl will pay straight for services on sites and nothing will be exchanged in game. Good luck with proving someone didnt get his items fair and square …that is why Activision dont take much of a serious actions and perma bans because they will just lose some few thousands banned accounts , half of them will re sub on new acc and ppl will came up with another solution far more undetectable than gold trading. Not defending RMT … but if someone wants to use money , there will always be market to take that money one way or another.

Yep, because having the possibility to compensate luck/regular attendance with gold completely ruins the concept of gearing.
Farming gold shouldnt influence the amount of gear you get.

Also its irrelevant anyways bc botting and rmt will always find their way as all of us should have realized by now, only thing you can do is reduce its incentive, and that would be by making gdkp raids a thing you can get banned for.

you’re not that guy to decide what’s the concept and what not.

How is it bad? Every action that bans this type of players is great.
I think they should go further, ban everyone who has ever hosted GDKP or participated in GDKP raids. Ban everyone that asks for gearscore and logs for BFD.

Ban addons that enables people to assess other peoples gear.

What “type of players”?

Since when paying ingame gold for items in raids or elsewhere is considered a bannable offense or something that needs to be labeled as “that type of players”?

The content of this game is suitable for persons aged 12 years and over only. What are you even doing here? They should ban you.

Bro about to do the thanos move.

I mean you can only really buy BOEs on a website and possibly have GDKP that’s organised by the actual people that run the website service. The issue with GDKP is that anyone can organise and run GDKP in game so it makes it significantly easier for people to abuse it and receive gold that’s funneled through the system.

You’re aren’t going to get the average player setting up RMT bidding runs and even if they did it still vastly reduces the number of bots because they don’t need so much gold anymore. That would also be a bannable offence so it would be much more risky than normal GDKP. It would be almost impossible to track & prove though if they just did it over discord.

At this point it’s pretty much a fact that GDKP leaders get swiped x amount of money from a player, and then they are free to bid up to that amount of money’s worth of gold. It’s a way for gold sellers to actively dump their gold for cash without any trace other than a Discord message.

I say keep banning these accounts.

Thanks for warning the gold sellers.

Then the only players with an active account, are too bad or lazy to complete any content, then i guess you would be back here complaining that content need to be nerfed so hard its impossible to fail, and every player remaining would quit cause they already cleared the content why bother doing it again and the game would be dead.
