For those who have been keeping up with my struggle to find my class, ive ditched the monk and returned to my warlock.
Why?
Because of how bad the ww monk tier set is on ptr.
It really highlighted the fragile nature of being a class where you only want to be one spec most of the time.
Even if they change the set, and im sure they will, theres nothing to stop something like that happening again. One change to the spec, and the fun of the class is gone.
Ww may be more fun than warlock, and monk may have healing and a tank spec.
But warlock have 3 specs that are fun to play, and i swap between them all the time.
A sad choice, but a practical one.
Edit: annnnddd… im back to wanting to be a monk.
Just ignore me. Im never going to be able to settle down and i hate it
Edit: Settled on warlock and i have to stay with it.
Some of you may remember my transmog i use? Well, the engineering goggles are cloth only for some reason.
The shoes are cloth only as well.
So my outfit ive been using for years and years is locked out on that character.
It is normal, do not worry. Hybrids are only really fulfilling to play if you play all three roles, and they have the disadvantage that their DPS spec is, more often than not, not in the top.
Warlocks are always a safe bet on that regard, double so for DPS players.
EDIT: Blizzard also appreciates your name changes purchased too.
Hope so. Would be nice for there to be a class that ticks all the boxes.
Well… theres druid. But i cant stand shape-shifting haha
Yeah it was going to be a 90/5/5 split between spec usage.
In hindsight too much of a gamble.
And thank the lord theyre on sale! XD
Its still an amazing class and lots of fun

Ive honestly never seen you do it.
Youre always trying to put someone in their place.
I swapped, announced it, so thought i should mention that i changed my mind, and gave my reasons why.
And no, i hadnt been playing monk for 3 days.
It was a choice i had been considering for months.
Even levelled up multiple of them to 70 before deciding to officially make the change.
Yeah if ur looking for a high mobility melee choice with multiple dps roles.
I think Rogue or Warriors your best bets, however rogue can feel complicated, ive seen a fair few posts complaini g about rogues, espically in levelling and open world.
And yes shapeshifting aint great lol the new updates look nice sure, but tbh overall it tends to hold alot less variety and u remenber how blessed we were to get transmog.
You dont need to play all 3 roles.
Youve got a lifelong bond with your character, through thick and thin.
A connection im sure most of us are jealous of
That’s a nice way to describe it. I do too and I can’t imagine maining anything else. Sometimes she’s bottom of the heap, sometimes she’s top but she’s always the one I play. (I do have several other SPs too, lower levelled …)
