I am the ghost of Gabrindion past.
Jokes aside he was always a dragon character I never got to roleplaying, so I just made him a Dracthyr now that it’s free to play for a week.

First Loras, now Gabrindion!!
Where does this madness ends!?

I don’t like big Ws.
Usually take big Ls though.
Hey there, mon, lemme give you a high five.
On a more serious note, the problem is that people use the subject of ERP mostly to make an excuse to bully a particular individual or even an entire community. It’s exactly the same thing as what is happening to me and my posts on the forum: things are taken out of context, presented in a certain (negative) light, and spread to ridicule my ideas.
Funny how one person said “from what we know, they might be a teenager”. Interesting source of information, that “from what we know”. Or me saying “On a side note = by the way, children in my country don’t even play WoW” being rewritten into a deriding “Haha, look, Quillestra’s saying that only people from her country play WoW”. And other people picking it up to use it against me whenever I write smth. Interesting.
I myself have never partaken in ERP and never will, but I do acknowledge that rule 34 and dark or vulgar humour exist. And using hypothetical small babies that might happen to not only play WoW but also play it on the RP realm and have enough patience and eloquence to sit and read through all the text… is merely an excuse to get a chance to play moral police and bring targeted individuals down under the noble disguise of maintaining order and high standards. It’s especially strange when you’re speaking about private Discord servers and such, meaning it’s not even happening in the actual game. And to reiterate, I am not even an advocate or a practitioner of ERP.
As a matter of fact, ERP is not the only thing that can traumatize a feeble, innocent mind. Early expacs contained quite a lot of uncanny things, to name a few: gnoll tents, bodies hanging from the trees, a whole giant made of poor living creatures with their agonizing screams echoing through the halls (that thing scared me the most!), the Forsaken quests (esp the men seeds), the entire WoD expansion that was particularly brutal (I won’t go in detail, but it was rather gory and bloody). But here we see just the same thing as with the Undead: double standards.
And no, I am not going to repeat my words for the 1000th time, Alannyse, if you want an answer to your question just read through my posts and you’ll find it.
Oh my god just shut up already
Gee why is it so hard to get it into some people’s thick skull?
Wow is a video game where children might be present. We shouldn’t really care the percentage, the chance is there. It might be an illegal activity in your country and if not it’s a generally unsavoury activity to engage on this platform. How is this basic b statement in any form reprehensible or questionable regardless of the person making it.
It’s a fascinating thing to see how many people wanna make this some reverse psychology thing or any other mind/perception trick on themselves to twist this into a view they must be a contrarian for.
Good day to you, Obahar! No, I’d rather not, if you please, thank you.
You are describing our RP server as a place where questionable activity is present in every corner of Stormwind, in every hut in Orgrimmar or in any tower in Dalaran. There are no such things and, therefore, nothing to be afraid of even if a random child decides to practise their writing skills and joins the AD family.
Oh my god, can you lay off the nihilistic takes that even makes the teenagers of previous decades cringe into singularity? “Unsavoury things are happening everywhere in the game. Why should we care about doing better on a personal level!”
And before you make the silly remark, no nobody here is advocating to make everything in the RP like a padded room where there’s no poignancy in what you wanna create. Get it now?
You’re the sort of person that inspires people to make a second group chat, which is identical to the first group chat except you’re not in it.
Can you both just give it a rest already?
Sure. I just hate seeing this idiot contrarian argue that the sky is green because people had the audacity to claim the sky was blue.
I’ve tried. :-((
Unless you’re British, then the sky is grey
Okay that’s a valid take.
I’m the sort of person who’s morally grey and you’ll either love or hate me. The second option is more realistic.
Tbh, I don’t really get it. There will always be places like a Goldshire Inn where sus activity is blooming, but what does it have to do with our argument?
Oof, oh wow. Oh Mary contrary, how does your garden grow
Can confirm here in Scotland it is nothing but grey and thick mists.
Remember when this Topic was about Elves?
Oari remembers
Now back to High Elves, as i said would be kinda cool for them to have a place where both kind of Elves void and blood can interact with each other?
Caravan Mother Oari
haha yeah it’s almost as annoying as people that knowingly yet stubbornly play into it
So really just a bad person.
I’m gonna try one last time all while staying polite here. You sit here casting shade upon people who have valid reasons regardless of anyone’s opinion on their character that ERP is an activity against ToS, against the law in certain nations and generally an unsavoury activity in the context of WoW.
It’s worth repeating.
You immediatly jump on the nihilistic take that because unsavoury activities are taking place potentially anywhere on WoW “It doesn’t matter.” is what you’re essentially saying here, do not make me whip a dictionary definition if you’re that dense. It’s a weak attitude to take. While it doesn’t negate what you said about how you would never get into ERP but you’re quite ready to oppose anyone who will because they might have skeletons in their closet or ulterior motives. That’s makes you a tool, is that clear now?
