I'm concerned by the amount of High Elves

They’ve also had hanged men and tents made out of human skin. There’s definitely some morbid stuff around, if one looks for it.

Yeah I don’t believe you are a bad person, so I will give you the benefit of the doubt. All water under the bridge and I hope all goes well for you.

O.G Thaddius was pretty morbid.

From my knowledge both of those were ‘just’ untasteful ‘jokes’, first one on Twitter, second on private non-guild Discord.

I hope that clarifies it a bit.

Either way, I feel like it’s not healthy be always in theoretics. Feel free to visit Vulperan Market in Orgrimmar tonight and chit chat IC! And it goes to everyone here in the topic, since it’s so popular because of dramas

If there’s a chance to make Orgrimmar RP more lively, is to gather with everyone for events like that!

The forsaken early quest experience is also pretty dark.
both the O.G and the newer cata one.
for classic its mostly what happens in the first zone, while cata continues until you reach the end of Hillsbrad.

I mean, it’s an undead questing experience. Cata is some weird over the top Sylvanas-dragon-ball-z-teleports-everywhere bs, but when it comes to Classic, it’d be a disservice if it wasn’t at least a little bit macabre and dark.

Points to the room in Scholomance dedicated to literally carving and chopping bodies that is full of mobs who obsess over blood.

WoW can be pretty damn morbid and dark.

Scratch her parts
the quests where you harvest spider eggs from living creatures, smash the head of human crops and the rest of early questing in that zone is messed up, perfectly in line with the forsaken.

One of the cooler parts of Shadowlands was seeing his sinstone in Revendreth.

Text transcript:

Theolen Krastinov.
Once respected, admired, a noble physician.
Yet Krastinov succumbed to a dark lust for knowledge and power.
In his madness, thousands of innocents were tortured and slain.
In his madness, their blood was used for a plague that killed thousands more.
Thus the Doctor became the Butcher.
Madness is no excuse for sins as grievous as these.
Repentance is the only answer. Purge his greed, his lust for power, and perhaps he can be redeemed.

ABOUT

Clearly The Culling of Stratholme would have had more emotional impact if it included much more slurs, swears, and nudity.

Even recently where Baine literally slaps Centaur’s into piles of flesh and blood… :smirk:

The idea that had the scholomance chopped up bodies, had it included a low polygon boobie or two might have attenuated the sheer violence of it all so gamers get a “Neuron activated” moment… Yeah sounds believable for that time period and yes I have a low enough opinion of my ilk to think this would have happened.

It’s funny how someone that hasn’t played the game in years at this point still lives rent free in peoples minds

What’s funnier is how someone who hasn’t played the game in years still gets randoms rushing to defend him. Did you do good work, little drone? Will the master be pleased? Will he reward you with a mcnugget?

In Crazymon’s defence, I do think there’s something to be said for people projecting their dislike of x and y while being guilty of it themselves – it’s something that happens regularly in real life.

Homophobic politicians being caught in gay ‘adult’ parties, transphobes having a private fixation on trans 18+ internet content, religious figures abhorring the corruption of children while ignoring their own systemic proclivities. The list goes on.

Is there any correlation between that and those who call ERP ‘degenerate’? I don’t know and I’m not about to go investigating it, but there’s precedent.
