its always best to wait first for strong tank / healer since they usualy que with strong dps .
That’s the point, I don’t give the slightest F about the stone, only thing I care about and can ruin my fun are leavers, which is why I list my stones as “completion”.
We just try our best, and if it gets timed that’s ok… If it doesn’t it’s still ok… As long as we all had fun during the process…
I have seen call to arms for DPS twice… But yeh, if you realy wanted, be a healer or tank and set your loot to ret.
Many does indeed pick option one, which is why we have complains of constant declines and hour-long wait times in queue.
If I aim to do a 13 key one overqualified DPS is already enough to heighten your chances of completing the key. You do not need 3, and most of the time you only need three average dudes/dudettes to finish a dungeon on time. The times is extremely lenient in most cases.
But an 18-20 for me is not a problem. For the average Joe a 15 may be the end game that he can barely do, while there will be others who’s cap is at 8, so to try and get a 10 done for themselves they will pick people overqualified for the dungeon.
That does not mean that the other option is outlandish. I do not mind taking 2 lower geared DPS into a dungeon for them to prove themselves, because as a tank I compensate for the damage lost due to their ilvl. If I need the extra damage I take a friend with me who knows how to press buttons.
More often than not it works out fine. If you have a decent ilvl and a reasonable score tou are in unless I am looking for a specific type of utility for the group (Cr or bl) and yes, in the few groups I created myself I asked people if they are fine with inviting the lower geared person.
I even had a group where, by my request, we invited a hunter for BL (previous season), something which seem to have been an outlandish concept in the pug world as it was incorporeal week. I was helping my healer friend out with keys, and we can easily handle the affix between us two.
I think that hunter was sitting in a queue of declines for 20+ minutes, before he got invited to my key.
If you feel the need to do keys with overgeared people that is on you, but my way of playing the game is nothing uncommon or extraordinary. I just do not feel that I have to have 470 people beside me to guarantee an 8-10-11-15-etc to complete, because for me those keys are the key levels where most can start learning the mechanics in dungeons.
The M+ system is based on succeeding key runs.
To increase the chances of success in key runs, you take the best options you have based on the info you have.
That’s as simple as that.
If you want to take the purely worse option “for them to prove themselves”, that’s your choice brother, but I don’t think I need to present numbers to say that most people who do keys want to succeed in keys. Which means they will not pick the worse options just for the gist of it.

If I had a 2900 vs a 2000 for a 15 yes I would take the lower one cos the 2900 will expect perfection and flame the second something goes wrong

That’s a stretch but I can see the logic behind it.
You’re either missing or approving my point though : Assuming they both have the same ilvl, you’d pick the better option here, according to your standards at least.
No I’m saying I disagree with you I think. What I consider for dps score, do I need lust or bress, then ilvl if those are equal or irrelevant

That’s exactly my point, you are picking the best options you get. I’ve been talking about ilvl, but that’s just an example because it is one of the main metrics often used. You are looking at the finger rather than moon here.

Its easy to see why you have so many leavers in your keys then if you put so little effort into creating your groups.

People usually just look at your score, not the keys you’ve done/timed. I did 7/8 +20s and one +17 week 1 and still had trouble getting invites this week on friday because there were people who already got far ahead of me due to getting tyrannical score, while I only had fort keys done at the time. So I had 2k score with mostly 20s timed, but even someone who just did 15s on both fort and tyra had higher score than me, so I didn’t get invited. I had to do every dungeon at least once to farm the score before I started getting invites again.
Taking someone who is in range of the key level you do in both score and ilvl is not the “worst possible option” though, but again, if you feel that you need overgeared people to get through keys that are considered low to mid level keys that is on you.
There is still nothing wrong in taking people who are in level with a key. That was the whole point I was trying to convey here.
I. The end you can spam dungeons until you get carried enough. Plenty of groups will just grunt and finish the key because they don’t want to deplete their key or wait for another 30 minutes (or whatever… I’m tank… I don’t know… XD).
Raidogs always show your own contribution, so unless you had a boost via account sharing… it’s your score, not your raids score.

This is an alt, im currently away from home with work so the observation about me only doing a 16 is a bit silly. Ive never claimed to be great… Looks like my observations about you being carried cut deep.
And sure,im the elitist but you come with statements like ‘healing aint hard herpa derp i wuz a healer’ then we look and your s2 main was an evoker boosted by a mage.
So why are you just harassing people all the time, based on the characters or whatever is linked? You literally said out of nowhere that I was carried by my husband(one person in pure pug right 
) and “scrapped 20ies”, in the topic about healing, no one asked you to say anything. You do this to people all the time, idk how this is supported on this forum and why you are not perma banned.
Sure, one of my character is evoker(did I ask for evaluation of my skills or what?) It also doesn’t it mean I was carried if I played evoker? And even if yes, which I didn’t, it’s none of your business, unless asked. You are just disgraceful person and you are not in position to be elitist. And I never met a person who was really good in the game with your attitude (I know some people from top guilds and they are always humble).
I also talked about this current week, since it’s bursting and you already have new 4set only did 1 dungeon +16. Very elitist best healer in the world.

Please elaborate on how taking an X ilvl Shadow Priest with Y rating is not worse than taking an X+10 ilvl Hunter with Y+500 rating, without running in circles.
Define “wrong”. Because I’m pretty sure that people would consider that lowering your chances/taking 5-10 more minutes to clear a key because “hey let’s take lower ilvl/rating/ worse classes for sake of it” is wrong.
You cant really be carried in a +25 without being able to play decently yourself, just aswell as you cant just be carried to gladiator r1 w.e (unless u win trade but thats a complete different thing tbf)
