So recently leveled this Warlock and hit 70 a few days ago, set some goals for myself to get badge catch up gear so I can raid but nope it’s basically impossible to do heroic dungeons to farm badges.
Just today I spent 2 hours LITERALLY 2 WHOLE HOURS from 5:15PM to 7:15PM trying to find a tank or a healer for any Serpentshrine Cavern heroic but nope, only getting whispered by people who want to sell their tank or healing service for 150G.
Meanwhile, the LFG has 500 gold sellers LFM for their GDKP ZA and Karazhan carry runs that have completely killed the heroic scene for normal players who don’t treat this game like a mobile game where they can buy their way to good gear.
There was a reason Blizzard created the LFD tool back then, even tho it had way more people playing.

So we need LFR because you could not instantly find a group to carry you through content that was relevant a year ago? (and with wotlk releasing in a month) I definitely agree, Blizzard should do something about this now.

Most of the people currently playing are RMT-ers, everyone else is on break waiting for prepatch. If you want a good experience, find a guild that doesn’t do gbid.

If you want to actually play the game and not have to pay some scammer you should go to something other than the mega servers.

I would say come to Mirage horde :).
It wont lower ur wait / spam times, but i havent seen tank services sold in a big while 
Ofc RDF would fix Your issues, but I wouldnt count on that Blizz will add it before p2.

Are you serious? You do realise people moved from the low and medium population realms because they couldn’t find others to do the content with right?
Theoretically right now with the XP buff I should be able to find people for any heroic but nope, people are skipping heroics and badge farm because they can swipe straight to t4/5/6 bis gear depending on their budget.
And ofcourse Blizzard should do something, It will only get worse in Wrath.

Carry? Where is the saying that he wants to be carried? He is just an example what it will be happen a person decides to start playing wow but due to people has no interest by doing heroics how this people can play they game? So he needs to quit? You don’t care? And you will say after that you don’t want RFD not a LFR due to social interaction ( he does a typo there)?
I mean thrash can has a purpose that it keeps thrash inside but anti rdf people liked you that coming here putting the thrashy words to new people wants to play the really I am able to understand why such a hypocrite. You people do not want what you don’t understand and the reason is has nothing to do with your socially interacted kinder garden. What useless thrash you are. Such a toxic waste

My guild doesn’t do GBIDs and i’m not sure how a different guild will solve my issue of no tanks and no healers.
They have no idea what the situation you are in and they don’t care man. I already made post about having the game w/o RDF would cause this but this little snowflakes mainly issue they don’t want people to lvl in capitals via spamming dungeons and keeping the social interaction mean while they are saying nonsense things that can solve your issue even with saying “instantly find a group” which you have no group to begin with. I am sorry dude their toxic behavior but it will be like on those mega or medium populated thrash servers. Your only solution would be lvl again on fresh servers and maybe get a guild there as well so you may do some raids before wotlk comes and starting wotlk afterwards.

Id say this would fix the situation.
But this has plagued wow even on live, no one wants to play healers and tanks.
And the players who do, generally play with premades due to the abuse players give tanks and healers. Its a revolving circle in all mmorpgs

No they transferred because they were scared there wouldnt be anyone to play with there is a difference, all 3 pve realms are proof that non mega servers work, all of them have fairly stable populations and have a whole lot less of GDKPs combined than any of the mega servers have.

Well why dont you reroll a tank or a healer and help the other fresh dps players?
Well sorry to break it to you, but all these realms suffer from the same “spam LF Tank for 8 hours” as do the mega realms …
On Firemaw its 50GDKP groups and 2 normal groups, on small realms its 2GDKP groups and 2 normal groups …
Because I have dozen other chars that are tanks or heals, and I would like to buy PvP cloak that for no reason can be bought only with stupid badges from PvE ? But hey zog me if I want to have single non fotm DPS amirite ?

Well, in the absence of dual spec, and Call of the RFD, what is the point of even trying to tank?
Fun. Which it is, for a while, but most of the tanks and healers are done with this content.
By now it’s either trivial, rewardless waste of time, or a challenging wipefest which is an even bigger waste of time.
Now, the workaround - me! The constant flow of fresh 70s running through normals, heroics, MGT… except it doesn’t happen. I got to 70, had a fantastic Mechanar, a horrible MGT normal attempt (baited by “normal” - two wipes on first pack, I couldn’t pump 2-3k hps and 800 mp5 while casting, I left). I keep glancing at LFG and occasionally spot something, but too short to man up and whisper.
Given my 67 tank has about 180 dps (seriously) I’m not even thinking of doing the level 58 quests, and I guess it’s more or less the same for everyone. I could respec, but then I won’t spend 100g just to tank once, otherwise no rewards. Same with healing. Those characters have double digit gold except when funded by my main.
I guess that’s where the 150g comes from.
You know, I actually levelled up a prot pally around the end of phase 4, got him clad in epics with 2-4 occasional blues with guild’s help, and you know what? After a few weeks of trying to tank heroics the community made me go back straight to my mage.
And before you say that I as just bad at it: I had people leaving the party as soon as they realized I was not even t5 tank, or after I mentioned that I’m still learning.
