Those I added on my friendlist was not “everybody”. They were some with whom I did several dungeons in a row - you could choose to continue together as a group to the next dungeon - we spent more like 4 hours together. And if you grouped at off times, there was a big chance of being thrown together … I also think the RDF was more apt to put people from the same battlegroup together, just my guess

RDF usage in retail mainly when leveling other then if the m+ are not open yet. So most of the people trying to find people for their parties via dungeon tool and not joining RDF at all.
So yes RDF’s impact for the game it’s like %3 for the whole expansion if you play it all.
But for first patch of expansion for a 2-3 days you do heroics and again stop doing it and doing mythic zeros and you can’t do via random dungeon system so you gotto find people for via dungeon tool.
If you calculate how much time you spend on heroics on first patch of expansion it would be %10 but don’t really think it will take that much time cause again you done with heroics after 2 or 3 days tops.
So in a way yeah RFD not used by majority of people in retail.

What a brainless response.
I already have a protection Paladin that I leveled a few months ago its named kellaar if you think I’m lying, I did almost every heroic every day for weeks farming badges and later on hard dressing unwanted or nether to make some gold.
I want to play warlock, not tank again.
I’m not really looking for some BT or SWP geared tanks and healers, It’s just shocking how few people who just hit 70 and try to gear as a tank/healer the normal way and not just dropping 2-3k gold in a t4/5/za GDKPs.
There are literally no negatives to an LFD tool that just queues all the people from the region.
There is NO SOCIAL INTERACTION OR ANY BENEFIT IN SPAMMING /2 and /4 WITH A MACRO.

I already have a SWP geared Warlock I know how to gear a Warlock, I’ve done enough research and all the Pre-Raid BIS (as in doesn’t require doing a 25 Raid) is mostly from badges and a few crafted pieces.
If you actually leveled a character recently you would know that literally no Karazhan or ZA Soft res group will take a freshly dinged player, The gear requirements for ZA/T4/5 Raids is already having T4 gear or better.
The second half of your message you’re telling me to just go waste a few thousand gold in some RMTer hosted ZA lmao f u.
Never said anyone owes me anything but Blizzard and I never asked for a geared tank or a healer. There’s simply NOONE who plays those 2 roles.

You should remove your rose-tinted glasses aswell. IF you played back in the day, you would remember up to 4 hours queues because there was a massive lack of tanks and healers…And when you got in, the tank would most likely leave if it was the wrong instance.
I personally will not tank using LFD if it ever gets added. If i ever decide to tank for randoms, Then they better pay me what my time is worth in gold, cause an extra reward in form of a few more badges or an extra item bag, is not going to cut it. During the time it takes to run an wotlk heroic or dungeon, i can farm 200 gold in strath right now in tbc.
I dont mind helping people who are respected and from a nice guild, but i wont help a random unless in certain situations. Tanking is not one of them.

Where do you seem me ever reminiscing about the “good old days” ? Blizzard adding LFD was because doing a dungeon was a dog experience is a fact. THE STATISTICS DONT LIE.

Well research some more, because many not BiS items are like 2-3% worse, but 20-30% easier to get than BiS.
2-3 months ago or better at the start of phase 5 you could still find SR groups from returning players or form your own from fresh players. You are talking about about a carry then if you want into groups where average gear is higher than t5.
Most gear in ZA GB at this point goes for minimal bid of 50 up to 150g. Rare BiS goes for 450-500g like caster trinket troll-head or Cape. I don’t know what greedy GB are on your server, but having ZA every 3 days on mine means that Quel’Danas and Outland daylies get you guaranteed 2-3 items every ZA raid without RMT whales interference who need only Sunwell gear.
