The dungeon finder was added, iirc, right before ICC went live. Perhaps it’ll arrive in a year or so, to be authentic
OP is the same type of players as the “pro-LFD” : “i don’t have time to/want to in the game i chose to play so can you add more automatization tools ? I want to make sure that Classic feel like retail and feel like a lobby game”
Honestly I’d be fine with that but we shall see what all happens. I’ll play either way but I prefer lfd.
But would there be any reason to add friends or accept friendship requests, if the automated systems could finds you players to make the 5ppl run with anyway?
This is the only correct option.
RDF came with ICC, so for it to be somewhat of a classic experience, it should be added then.
Until then we can see how the new LFG tool turns out and still course correct when ICC arrives.
Nothing is lost so far, only the tool has been added which wasn’t there for 3.0
It does. You can’t play with players from another realm. So, why would you bother being nice or add someone from a RDF dungeon to your friend list ?
Yes there would, there’s advantages to knowing who is in your party and how skilled they are or even just knowing you’ll have a better time with them in the group.
There’s plenty of reasons why you’d add friends in an rdf dungeon, I know because I did back in the day add people while doing dungeons.
It’s still faster and more fun to continue with the same group
And Real ID friends were added almost at the same time as RDF, so yes you could keep your Xrealm friends.
Spoiler: We’ve had this in Classic since launch - another f#¤%& change!
But I can do it right now. If Automated system would be implemented most of my friend list would be unavailable most of the time and instead I would be forced to play with some crosserver randoms.
You could add them but you couldn’t group up with them manually. So you could only talk with them or move to their server.
Again then, just make it server specific then. This argument isn’t against automated functionality.
Again this “Pro-RDF” nonsense. We are talking about WOTLK dungeons they are easy as hell. So, no people won’t ask for “meta spec” nor min/max as hell or require 3000 RIO to do those dungeons. Being “skilled” is not a great argument.
How can you be “friend” with someone you just meet when you won’t be able to play together anymore ?
It doesn’t work like that.
And queue at the same time It was often enough to get you into the same dungeon.
If your friends list actually likes you then they will run dungeon content with you so long as they are also tackling that content. Lol. If your entire friends list decides not to play with you because an automated system was introduced then have I got news for you…. they aren’t your friends xD
Stop. No one will make so much effort to play with someone they just met from an another server.
You can’t develop your “friendship” in a video game like that. No one will bother doing it if they can’t play together anymore after a dungeon.
They won’t transfer, won’t tag as the same time, won’t have a lot of things to discut about. This is not how normal humans work.
So having non crossrealm rfd solves it. Cool let’s have that
No I’m saying there’s any number of reasons why you would still add friends even with having rdf. Stop acting like that’s not the case xD
Hm. if that’s the facts, I contest the facts … what an argument
So you’re hoping a random generator will put you in the same group.
And if that doesn’t happen? Do you quit and try again after the debuff ended or you just finish the dungeon without them?
That’s like me flipping a coin and deciding whether you can play together or not.
This type of argument is unreasonnable.
You won’t make a ton of efforts for someone you just met in a 15min dungeon. Even if you had fun with him.
This is not how normal humans develop a relationship. Are every good guys you meet your best friends after 15min ? No.
It require to play a bit more together on a daily/weekly basis and not expecting the RDF to luckily let you play together for 15min.
