All this made me look through my old main’s Achievements in Armory. Somethings not quite right there I have achievements, I have never done, and some other marked as incomplete even thought I have done them and all required achievements are correctly marked as done (eg. the Draenor Angler for the blueprints ).
Not only my memory being quirky here.

Answering to myself as I got wiser :
It was called the Cross-Realm Dungeon Finder but the truth is that it was a Cross-Battlegroup Dungeon Finder. You were not grouped up with all and sundry from all EU, but with the very same people with whom you did BGs inbeforehand.
I cite patch notes:
The Dungeon Finder is now available, providing players with quick and easy access to five-player parties. This feature connects all realms within a battlegroup using an advanced matchmaking system, making it easier for players of all levels to find a dungeon group. In addition, players can reap additional rewards through the Dungeon Finder by choosing the Random option, which is available to both pick-up and pre-formed groups.
OR use the preformatted text option </>

Not a single good argument against RDF/LFD.
Only troll responses and rose-tinted goggles.
I’d say yes to rdf if they added the option to flag yourself as something like: elitist, normal, noob. And then being able to choose from what kind of player you want to team up with.
It would still be random out of a pool of people, but make it more durable for everyone.
For example you could flag yourself as wanting to team up with noobs to help them, without having an elite in your group whining about stuff.
For example you could play only with noobs and learn together.
wouldn’t it be more comfortable for NEW tanks if they flagged themself as something like “learning how to play” and gets teamed up with people who are aware of it.
RDF is just too random and invites too much toxic behaviour towards each other.
Because to me being grouped up with the kind of people I would normally never play with isn’t fun.
LFD and LFR good they let everyone experience content. in classic and tbc many guild die from content too hard
What on earth is that character profile picture? Has Berny become Squidward?
You can’t expect much at this point in TBC for groups. I routinely block tanks and healers who try to sell their services myself. Just another reason to have RDF in WOTLK Classic.
I’m not sure what a swiper is btw lol.
Some people now have the viewpoint of “Why not?” instead of “Why do it?”. It’s a plague on a portion of society that has ruined a few industries.
The Why Not? Is because was in the game as a major feature in original WOTLK.
The Why Do It? Is…an open ended question with no answer.
Because anyone who played on anything but mega realms from phase 2 onwards knows how hard it really easy to do dungeon content.
The 10s of thousands of people who moved over to the big realms are proof.
I have a horde character I play on a low pop PvE realm and it certainly can be tough, especially when it is alliance dominate. I know what you mean.
It’s the act of buying gold, Those who RMT so they can buy (previously) level boosts and once they hit 70 they join a ZA or T4/5 GDKP and spend a few thousand golds skipping the whole pre-raid gearing phase that normal players still have to do because all the SR Groups are “badge run T6 required”.
Ah, I maybe miss chat about that stuff as I filter all boost, gdkp, wts summons etc from chat. I recall a few months ago DST being reserved for 20k gold on the server I play, I mean, why?
