I’m not sure if all items has all the combinations (I may be wrong), some are just fixed. Even if we assume that all except trinkets can have everything on them, it’s still will be between 100 and 200. Not hundreds. Two exact in a row from the start is really unlucky, but somebody has to be unlucky in a large population.
Just two exact repetitions before you get all the gear slots updates is very lucky.
This is not unluckythis is rigged. The system is designed to give you an item that is not an upgrade. you are made to believe that you are grinding for upgrades but you really aren’t. They don’t want players to get geared quick.
I would not complain if it did not happen every season from every little box drop they design.
Every roll sequence has the same probability, be it the same or different numbers.
It is expected to somebody to roll the sequence from above, if number of people rolling is large enough.
Moreover, it’s not what you care about. To get the same in a row any number, any repetition of numbers will go, not just 80. This makes it 200 more likely than getting all 80.
Probability of four repetitions in this case (I’m still not sure if there are 200 posibilities in a chest), is ~ 200**3 or around 1 in 8 million.
With millions playing it’s completely normal to have at least one person even this unlucky, to get 4 same items on their first 4 attempts of loot.
Insisting on the same thing to a different person wont make it true. Changing the narrative from slots to stats wont either. Dont make me cite your own op post to ridicule you …
And by the way, assuming 6 iterations of the same slot is false. You did not bother to look at the loot table of delves. But it is very probable that there exists no combination of the stats you want.
Read the article i posted. Stop. That think. And come back.
you know the person commented did not read every comment so I had to explain to them the basics to understand.
If it happens one out of 8 million people the game don’t even have that many players by the way plus I know let’s say 4 people then would that make roughly 32 million people playing the game to get these statistics? And those 4 people happen to be in the same region in my circle? Not another region? no usa? no asia etc? Come on people are so naive. Keep believing in this rigged loot system then. The loot is extremely weighted.
I’m out. No point to discuss this further. I just wish you all a happy rng like loot like mine and once you suspiciously keep getting the same items over and over again just remember to this topic.
Well, yes, but the same rolls are being made against a million users every week. in a 10 week period of a million users we can expect one player to get that exact combination.
And the loot table for Delves will be much lower than 200. More like 40 max. To draw exactly the same four items in four sequential Delve chests with a 40 item loot table is 1 in 64,000. We can expect that to happen several dozen times a week with several of those players posting about it because it’s so unusual.
Having said that, I wouldn’t be surprised if there is some biasing. It wouldn’t be beyond Blizz to give a low value item (cloak) a have higher drop rate than a high value item like weapon. I expect Wowhead will be gathering data as we speak and we’ll see that data soon.
Back in DF S4 I wanted to transmog a wrist to get the full LFR or Normal or HC set(I don’t remember which) for my evoker. Not one dropped the entire season. Not from vault, not from weekly, not from raid/dung. I always got the same ring/back/boot large majority of time. I’m pretty sure it is rigged in some way, so you keep playing the game. (At the end of season i realized that I can get the item from the forbidden reach so It was a happy ending at the end. )
You dont know the loot results of the players.
You dont know the loot table.
You dont know how many total players there are.
The only one that can collect enough data to asses is the system is random or not is wowhead. Out of loot results from thousands of people. Not the whole payer base, but still more relevant than “i know people”…
And those results show RNG.
But you did not even bother looking at that. You prefered to make up numbers…
Its like talking to climate change deniers and flat earthers…
Tah same old blizz shill showing up everywhere to discredit anyone with valid criticism. I’m keep getting the same loot over and over and over again. Same trinket for the fifth time (reinforced-wax plating), and helmet 3 times (myconic hood). You shouldn’t get the same item over and over, there SHOULD be a duplication protection, excluding an item you’ve already gotten for at least another 5-6 times you’d loot that chest. It’s not even something you can do every day, you’re quite limited in doing so yet here we are, artificially gated behind trash mechanisms that should have been ironed out in the past THREE month of beta testing.
Claiming Blizzard has some conspiracy to not let us gear up is ‘valid criticism’ to you?
Also: Calling me a shill is the stupidest thing ever. I have plenty of issues with Blizzard as a company and WoW as a game.
Sure. I agree with that in theory; but if it’s true RNG, stuff like that CAN (and thus: will) happen. But all of that’s besides the ludicrous claims OP is making.
Lucky you - at least you’re getting Delvers’ Bounties to drop.
I’ve been doing several tier 8 delves a day, enough to get my Hero item from the vault last week and 12 Champion items, 9 different slots’ worth, including a weapon. And in all that time, I’ve only had two Delve maps drop - one right at the start, in tier 1, and one in tier 7, just before I switched to doing tier 8s.
Even Zekvir, when he rudely interrupted my dungeon, was too stingy to drop a map.
The TLDR version? RNG is exactly that, random. (And like Tah, the Hero item from the Timewalking cache was the same slot as my single Hero item from the Vault. Guess I should have waited before opening the Vault, but hey-ho!)
