its okay to quit just like its okay to not play and post here…
dont let people tell you otherwise…
quitting for a while can actually be a pretty healthy thing to do, if i didnt take a 2 year gap in shadowlands my life and health would still be a mess right now.
My life is actually peaking currently despite playing wow, but I play it casual af, and post on forums alot instead scrolling instagram/reddit/youtube (probably better for my brain to read forums than the modern tiktok degeneracy ngl)
Back to topic: I was at a point in wow, where I had red gear, needed a 40k bis gem for my socket, needed enchants for 6k each, and those things, I would also have to get for every single future character (imagine the hypothetical hours spent farming gold ), and I don’t wanna farm gold for reasons mentionned above: So I either had to quit or buy a wow token. I bought a wow token, just because of me liking the trading post so much. Blizzard should really reconsider their mentality, and I had the same experience with shadowlands leggos too. I know I’m not the only one, who felt that way based on in-game convos with strangers. The main problem is the wow token I think, else I’d just have considered it mmo grind.
This sounds like an insult to alot of forum posters It’s nice, that you recovered, but don’t spread bad vibes, and if wow hurts you so much, better to quit cold turkey than being in forums, when you should never play anyway. It’s all about discipline. Just fulfill your duties, and the rest can be whatever
Easily if you got herbalism/mining. Prices are steadily going down , but you still can get alot of gold from taking a bit of time to farm along a proper route. Or just from picking stuff up while moving to somewhere you want to go for a dungeon or world q or event.
Yesterday i made 150k gold just selling what i mined/herbed the last past 3 days. That should last a long enough time if i wanted flasks/potions/enchants. Enchanted gear dont get replaced that quickly unless you are enchanting low ilvl gear
And well if you want gold then make sure to gather alot at the start of an expansion when prices are high. You will be able to make enough gold to last you the entire expansion.
I mean if you prefer to be a whale in a game then suit yourself. But proffesions are there as a way to make gold in game, you cant expect a game to hand you over enough gold to buy more pricy stuff all the time. Then they might as well remove the currency.
You dont even need to farm, just picking up some more pricy nodes while on your way to your m+ entrance can fetch you plenty of gold. No real farming needed just a slight detour on your normal route.
