Imp only attacking if send in?

Is it meant to work this way? Can only put void Walker and imp on defensive. So each time I attack a mob in dungeon I have to physically make imp attack unless I’m being hit by a mob? Kinda annoying it does not automatically attack target I’m hitting. Same with void when questing.

Ok was hoping may just be a bug. Nvm

Can’t you put it on aggressive though? So it attacks everything on sight? Or did that come with tbc/wotlk? Can’t remember.

yes you can but why would you want it to attack everything on site? very annoying…

bit of a daft thread this tbh just press attack its a click/key

You can put on aggressive be in a dungeon etc last thing you want

You could probably create quite a simple macro that says pet attack when you cast COA or something

Not a draft thread was a question really. I played lock for years and was not sure if meant to be this way in vanilla
Will look into a macro thanks Matt’s.

Yeah they introduced that auto attack thing in cataclysm I think.

Use a macro with a spell
/petattack
/cast (Shift-click on the spell you want to open up with)

Same with hunters
But they can use /cast (shift click auto shot)

You can bake /petattack into a shadowbolt macro
