I see many abandoned ideas. Plate has crit. Cloth is missing crit. Leather is missing crit. Why the hell do you not have every Heirloom with all stats? Give us all Heirlooms with all pieces you want to stack for your chosen spec. Crit, haste or mastery or combination. Sockets, and enchants as well. Gem slots and enchants as well.
Many many many Green flagged individuals said: “Why does this matter?”.
Well Ion. Look at the stats and figure out. “Why?”
So far as I have spoken to your “Green” “Flagged” “Individuals”. They don’t want these things. Because they want their stuff as easy as possible.
I dont care about stats while leveling but I do care that we are missing some pieces of gear. The biggest problem I have is that we have almost all the slots but not all of them, so while leveling I will totally forget that some of my gear is not getting stronger and just sell all gear, so by the time I am level 50 I have few pieces of gear that are level 15 because I forgot to equip better ones when I got them
Ever slot should have stats for your spec, enchant and gem slot too. What the hell happened to the enchants btw? You can’t enchant helms no more. Why? Would have so much more fun to be able to enchant and gem every piece wether is Heirloom, PvP, or whatever. Current quest and dungeon gear makes zero sense. They have always wrong stats random. Purposefully…
During the initial leveling, secondaries barely matter, so anything that’s an ilvl upgrade can be safely equipped.
It’s crazy rare the higher ilvl piece has less primary stats, but do watch out for it and compare the items - whichever gives more strength, intellect or agility, take it!
Heirlooms have been hard-nerfed for a reason. The idea is to have an uniform pacing of leveling that’s comparable between people who have full set and those who only use the stuff they get from quests. If not for all the people who gathered up a ton of them and sunk a lot of gold into it, Blizzard would probably remove heirlooms from the game altogether or nerf them even more.
If a new player had a bunch of questing blues and the person leveling their 30th alt did triple the damage of the new player because of their fully gemmed+enchanted heirlooms with optimised secondary stats, that wouldn’t be a fun experience.
Ah… alright. You are one of those people stuck in Classic. Do you realise that gems and enchants on every single gearpiece would just turn into an annoying gold sink? I’ve played in the old expansions. The less we have to gem and enchant, the better. The only improvements about gems (if we want to keep them around) I can think of is getting rid of the socket grinds/rng. If an item’s meant to have a socket, give it one right away similar to how it works with SL legendaries.
Gold sink is not the problem. The problem is BAD GEAR DESIGN. I want to stack crit for all Classes I level up. You want everybody to get everything and nothing should matter.
I like to be able to crit all the time. If I level up a Class which focuses on Hots or Dots I want to make haste build for them likewise.
The fact that every gear piece does not allow you to enchant and gem them is just simply STUPID.
That’s your opinion. And that’s fine.
I disagree; I DO think gold sink is a problem for something like that; it’s not a cool way to spend your gold, imo. Likewise; having to think and calculate the best possible enchants and gems for every single piece you get just isn’t fun for me.
People like different things. We currently have select items that can be enchanted and/or gemmed. So we both get a little of what we want and a little of what we don’t want. That’s called compromise.
Ps: It would be nice to have a complete set of heirloom items though.
sorry but a BM hunter player never think they just chill clicking their 3 bottom rotation.
some times it is good to turn ur brain off and just chill and play ur bm hunter …
Your topic started off well then went into almost conspiracy theory mode with the green people
I have to ask, what is a green flagged individual. Where did you speak to these green flag carriers?
As for the actual stats on gear, I tend to hunt out those with Haste. Particularly if it’s a Paladin I’m levelling.
Indeed, I stopped caring about heirlooms when they removed the XP boost from them.
The most ridiculous is the 5 set one:-
Gaining a level triggers Burst of Knowledge, dealing (X) Holy damage to nearby enemies and granting you 40% (Primary Stat) for 2 min. Defeating additional enemies extends this effect, up to 2 min.
90% of the time I ding when handing in quests, it’s utterly useless. It’s just me and a bunch of friendly NPCs.
Seen quite a few requests for this. It’s a missed opportunity for those who like to be fully kitted out for levelling and is another gold sink for the game.
No. But they were there and said gear should be just random and stats should not be important… Lol…
The fact that there is plate crit helm but no cloth version is simply lazy oversighted design. If you want to design Heirlooms for money drain like they initially did why half-@ss them? I don’t get it.
The woke people said this?!?! Do you know what woke means? It does not apply here
Anyway going back to heirlooms, I don’t think it needs a gemslot esp with the ever changing JC restrictions of what you can equip at what level. It’s already possible to enchant although I never bother myself.
I can understand you want all secondary stats present so that it’s more beneificial to all specs/classes.
