All stats would be nice indeed. I dont mind getting proper gear via dungeons, but gear that drops there has random stats. Its not very good reward design. BFA dungeons give you almost nothing. Vanilla/Cata gives extra 1-2 loot bags guaranteed after each dungeon run for example.
Yeah woke people are those who can’t handle different opinions. They said their heads started to hurt when they had to think about different gear stats or express any freedom of will.
Well at least you’ve proven you don’t know what woke means.
Fwiw, it would be nice to have the heirlooms back to do the job they were originally intended for. I think that having them stronger than their level counterparts was a mistake as it can be off putting to some and makes a mockery of levelling dungeons.
It would be nice if a better solution could be found.
Not even woke people know what their woke means. Including european versions of them. Worst of them are in Southern California. Walking in their yoga pants and thinking they are all special and goddesses.
If anything heirlooms are causing a problem for new players who can’t get them, and then get left behind in instances, or group questing. Heirlooms should be made weaker not stronger.
I dont mind Heirlooms being buffs only. Problem with dungeon loot right now is that loot tables are horrible. Loot has randomized stats. Its bad design. And TBC loot is still the best because it has so many gem slots. Although gems themselves are super weak now. Everything should feel way more meaningful.
RNG loot is enough already. Lets go back to fixed stats and more customization.
Improving the Stats might help. Better set bonuses would help too (I think the Rested XP is the only useful one and it’s not great as we still only earn a bar or two each night). Movement speed boost, built in Flight Master’s Whistle, Extra Hearth Stone or just stuff to help leveling on alts (Heirlooms are for alts, not first time leveling).
Also make it easier and cheaper to upgrade them. 25,000g to upgrade a full set of Heirlooms to current max.
No. They should be viable through Enchanting and Jewelcrafting. WoW abandoned Professions when they removed most enchants and gems in WoD. They also abandoned proper class design.
Then stop trying to force extra gold sinks on people because that’s somehow superior design in your eyes. I don’t want to spend hundreds/thousands of gold whenever I get an item upgrade, or to feel like I have to buy a WoW token just so that I’m not at the 1/3 of normal pacing when leveling alts.
Well I don’t mind optional way to get Heirlooms in game. For me buying couple tokens is not an issue. But if I could get Heirlooms via DM isle if it were permantent place I would gladly get them there no problem.
Or any other similar way. How about we could craft the Heirlooms by ourselves at max level on our main? And put whatever stats we want on them? Now thats superior thinking. Which devs do not possess. They just want to make money, not fun games anymore.
I will agree with this considering we had the option to add a lot more power to our characters because nearly every item had an enchant.
Personally I want to see the sockets removed from RNG and placed back on professions (iirc wrath allowed us to punch socket holes in a few gear pieces) or just have gear that have sockets calculated into its stat spread. In general having more ways to control the stats on your character (hello stat reforging) is a big ++++ from me
